Ok, I took a little over a week off to just watch and not play after 2 losing weeks in a row, and I feel confident about starting to wager again.....with a small twist....what I have found is that, similar to the 2 weeks I was losing, I seem to have a good feel overall for games, but I have not been too successful with choosing a winner with my one and only pick.....therefore I will use the base unit ($1000) that I was using previously, but I will divide it by the number of games I like....hopefully this will help correct the most recent
Here's what I like today:
New Orleans - Hornets have several factors working in their favour tonight......revenge game as the Bucks beat them about 2 weeks ago.....Milwaukee has a tendency to follow great wins with bad losses, and they are coming off a gritty win against Boston where they came back from a game-opening 17-0 hole....Hornets have lost 9 of 10 and the 1st 2 games of a 5-game homestand, but they last 2 games are against the Lakers and Grizzlies, so they are going to want this game to avoid being swept at home....Bucks have also lost 10 games in a row in New Orleans.....normally a stat like that makes me run in the opposite direction, but tonight I think it will hold
Golden State - Warriors are a shocking 10-6 and 6-2 at home....they have won 3 straight and who knows how long they will keep it up for, but I'm betting it holds for at least one more night....Magic coming off that emotional win in LA....how sweet must it have been for the Orlando players, especially when they went hack-a-dwight in the 4th and watched Howard finish the game 9-21 from the line....and Afflolo, the best player the Magic got for Howard, going off for 30 points....ah, sweet justice.....having said all that, the Magic are primed for a huge letdown 24 hours after that win, as evidenced by the big line.....I'll take a red-hot Warriors team to win by double digits...
New Orleans +4
$550 to win $500
Golden State -9 (bought the hook, -120)
$600 to win $500
