Scheduled loss: Knicks @ Dallas

Not going to do a big writeup but the banged up Mavs are in a bad scheduling spot here against Brunson (former Mav) and the Knicks. The shorthanded Mavs have been playing solid ball but I think it catches up with them tonight. This will be their 3rd game in 4 nights and 4th in 6 nights where they got an emotional win against the Nuggets on Friday then travel to Miami for an OT game where they lost and then to Atlanta where they won and now home against a Knicks team looking for double revenge from last year.

Terrible! Looks like the Knicks took the night off and started on their Thanksgiving a day early. These spots used to be money in the NBA but no longer. All the Knicks had to do was show up and play, but it was too much to ask. Bloated millionaires who couldn’t care less because they are playing in a weak ECF where seeding doesn’t matter. Meanwhile, every regular season game in the West is like a playoff game. Should have factored that in the cap. Sorry. 

Just saw this post. Got Mavs + 4.5 10 minutes before game time. Easiest NBA yet this season ??

Thanks. Buddy. I appreciate the advice. I did have OKC parlayed with Nuggets ML but didn’t have the heart to post after the Knicks no-show. Didn’t want to cost people more money.

How did you know the Knicks were dead on arrival? I know they had a big win in Denver but didn’t think they’d have a letdown in this spot, where their ineptitude would be televised:) 

The Mavs have always had much stronger defensive metrics when the ultimate ball hog isn’t in the line up. He’s always been a defensive liability. 

Interesting. I knew they were playing well. I had watched a couple of their games. They were better without Thompson in there as well. But I thought their gas tanks were near empty. And my guess is that it was. But Kidd had a great game plan and compensated for that by having Dallas go all out in the first half, build a nice lead and coast to victory. He knew the Knicks would quit. This is not last year’s Knicks team. They are soft. Real soft.
