My inaugural post on Covers yesterday provided members with two analytically backed tips that came through with flying colours, as I now steam ahead to 2-0 leading into my second 'official' day.
I'm not going to lie, today is a tough one, but I've found another two (maybe three) easy money options. As always bet at your own risk, my tips are just a guide... take it or leave it as you please.
Detroit Pistons +1
Don't get me wrong, the Kings have played some tough opposition in their first 8 games (1-7), but even with DMC back on the floor it is going to be extremely tough to end their hideous skid of now 6 losses. They recently held what one may call a 'crisis meeting', although they liked to call it 'family talk', to keep the fans happy (happy as they can be, I guess). Not only this obvious behind the scenes frustration, they will also have to interrupt a 6 game losing streak against the Pistons, which dates back to a couple of seasons ago.
Here, we also have one of the best defensive sides against one of the worst, meaning I have great faith in Detroit to shut down the Kings quick offensive pace (second in the league), which is also missing a key piece in Darren Collison, who we can expect to sit out another contest with a bung hamstring. Although offensively similar per 100 possessions, defence is where the contest will really be won, as the Pistons will see the Kings as a piece of cake compared to the offensively stacked Warriors who they managed to keep to only 109 points. This outing along with Portland (103) are the only match ups Detroit has allowed their opponent to score above 100, whereas the Kings haven't gone a contest without letting their opponent reach triple figures.
The key match up of Drummond vs. Cousins is vital to either teams success, and there is no looking past the current form of Andre Drummond who is now averaging a touch under 20 and 20. I could probably go on for a little longer but you get the picture... DEFENSE wins matches, especially matches like this!
Which leads me on to my next tip...
In fact, I can't decide on just one, I see both of these coming off with absolute ease!
Golden State Warriors -7
Los Angeles Clippers -7
Not much has changed since the last time GSW played Memphis (50 point win), nor since the Clips sent the Mavs packing (18 point win). Both favourites enjoy keeping their opposition well under 100 points per 100 possessions, while maintaining two of the best offensive games in the league. Honestly believe both teams will get the job done by 20 a piece and I don't need stats to tell me that... although for my readers peace of mind you check out this in depth analysis here...

Shall we make it 5-0 by tomorrow night? I certainly hope so...
