Reasons.

Spurs have failed to cover their first two against crappy opponents. Why? Because they are a veteran team that is pacing itself and/or bored by these crap teams from the eastern conference. It's either that or they suck, in which case we are screwed

Blazers come in winners of the lady two on the road should get the spurs attention. These teams in the west are all jockeying for playoff spots. Blazers have had 3 big games. First they lose an emotional game at home against the team they beat in the playoffs. Then they go on the road and redeem themselves by winning the next two, with a big emotional win coming against Dallas.

Meanwhile the Spurs have been sitting at home getting fat off wins against cellar dwellers. Having barely beaten the wizards, I'm sure pop has this teams attention. And Aldridge always plays well against his old team. Most important of all, the spurs next game is against leonard and the clippers. They need to build some momentum heading into that game, which is likely to be a loss. Lose this one at home, and suddenly you are looking at a 2-2 start in a conference where every win counts.

In the old days I would have tilted, but I don&#x27;t care enough about this garbage to tilt. I&#x27;ve seen it all. But tonight was bad. I know why they failed to cover with that lead: it&#x27;s called looking ahead. They play leonard and the clippers next. But why did the Blazers think they had a shot on a back to back with 5 minutes to go? Who keeps the starters in in such a spot?
