Have showed some promise with past 3 performances, albeit against mediocre teams (Sac town, Bobcats and Wizards)
They have trailed at half time in 5 of their last 6 games
Summary: They have been in a rut but seem to be pulling themselves out of it, however a major factor going against them is that they have been playing from behind A LOT!
Rest
This will be their 4th game in 5 nights and this will be the 2nd game of a B2B.
Just came off a gruelling double OT against the Wizards.
Schedule
3rd game of their annual rodeo, with only a few big challenges coming up - Clippers, Nets and Portland
Seems like a walk in the park for them in the next 3 games after playing the Nets - playing Bobcats, Detroit and Boston
Summary: Not too bad of a schedule coming up after this game but who knows if Pop will start giving Duncan extra rest in anticipation of a long road trip.
Roster
It's official that Tony Parker won't be playing against the Nets due his back.
Manu Ginobili and Kawhi Leonard are still out indefinitely.
Tim Duncan played 40 heavy minutes last night compared to his average 33.
Summary: Another hit to the Spurs already depleted squad with Parker out and Pop is very likely to reduce Duncans minutes as he really cares for his players welfare the welfare of his players.
And another titbit of sacred (haha) information is the following:
There is a good system/theory that states to fade teams, who lose a star player (1st or 2nd scoring option), on their 2nd away game, in this case Mr. Tony Parker is out.
The team must have played a road game before the player was injured or if he was injured during that road game. The record for this theory is now 15-3 ATS with it hitting last time in the Hornets/Indiana game on the 3rd of Jan. Ryan Anderson was injured during the the Boston game and the Hornets had to face Indiana on a B2B and were blown out by 17 points.

Most recent meeting (Dec 21) was when the Nets were going through a slump and the Spurs had a fully healthy roaster and had only lost 4 games in the the month of December.
Play: Nets 1st half to avoid a Spurs 2nd half rally if sht does decide to go south.

Thanks for this. I like the Nets tonight, great spot for them, really bad spot for spurs.
Not a problem Tony Montana. Just trying to get some decent analysis and discussions going on after going through dozens of useless threads filled with bickering and half-baked posts.

You guys might want to hold off on making the bet until more info about Duncan transpires: https://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/467/tim-duncan
I believe the line will drop when his status is confirmed 100%. Currently possibly look at Nets 1H -2.5 but by tomorrow if Duncan is set to play it may drop.

Spurs announce that Tony Parker (tight lower back) and Tim Duncan (who's being rested) will not play tonight in Brooklyn

Sorry to those who may have tailed. Seems like the Nets like to start slow themselves but ended up going on a run in the 2nd, up 1 at the half. And for those who decided to take the full game, it's looking good as the Nets are going into the locker room with huge momentum. Best of luck yall.
