I've seen a lot of discussion about betting a dawg when the star player(s) is out. The line gets inflated because of stupid joe public housing the fave in what appears to be an easy win for the fave. So the theory is to bet the team WITH the star player(s) out. This would've worked in Game 1 when Embiid was out. Not only a Philly cover but SU W.
Star player out for Mia last night and they covered vs. full Knicks team.
So now Embiid is back and the line is smaller. So does the opposite now hold true. Bet fave when star player(s) returns for dawg?
Something I was thinking about. I wonder if there are ATS/SU numbers out there for these types of situations or if this is just crazy talk while I'm waiting for game to start.

Works both ways. I already have a label for the two.... Star is out, team balls out And Star is back, team goes whack usually most effective for that first game
The Heat vs Sixers series last year didn't work like that. Embiid was backed in game 3 and tied the series after trailing 0-2
