As many of you must have observed, Covers changed the format for the NBA Scores and Matchups page around mid-May (also WNBA and NCAAB; they changed NFL and NCAAF as well a little later on). You can see the new (current) format by clicking on the Scores and Matchups link on the NBA home page. If your memory need a refresher, the old format looks similar to the format still being used for MLB Scores and Matchups.
There are several differences between the new and old Scores and Matchups formats. I strongly object to the changes. I reached out to the Covers general feedback and inquiries dept. about this on May 22. I don't know if this was in response to my and possibly other's feedback, or there was some other prompt, but after a few days they did change back to the old format. Then, though, after a few more days, they reverted right back to the new format! (which is what you see now)
I'm taking a poll. Which of the NBA Scores and Matchups formats do you prefer, the new or the old?

New format is horrible. Can't even find the ATS stats I'm looking for. Old format was simple and perfect. I use other websites for matchups nowadays. I only come to Covers for the forum.

Yeah, I mentioned it in the covers feedback thing too in regards to baseball. They used to have full pitching game logs so I could see the last 10 or more for the starting pitcher.
It would also have the last 10 for each team without having to click on a tab, which doesn't work half the time. Now it defaults to the last 10 in the matchup, and I have to click on each team to find the last 10 game results.
This wasn't a few months ago though, it was last season. They did change it back for a little bit, but they stuck with it and it's been like this for a year now. So it's not going back.
Even though I'm positive that 75% of old timers and people that use that site like the old format, some people don't mind, and the don't minding is the important part.
With the advent of twitter, facebook groups, discord chats, reddit, old school places like covers are bleeding traffic. This used to be THEEE web site and forum to use for betting. Now all these young kids want to do is sucker bets like same game parlays that pay a bunch so they can post and brag about them and post them on social media for attention.
Like if you said "Second Half Celtics -5" some people wouldn't even know what you're talking about, because second half is buried multiple tabs down. The apps everyone uses just has a live line, only the offshores that old school people use still use 2nd half lines. A lot of people here still post "second half," so they are old school people.
TLDR. Covers changed the format to look more modern. All these "apps" have like bolder, prettier touchscreen boxes and stuff. They're trying to attract back a younger audience because traffic is not the way it used to be 15-20 years ago.
If i opened up the forum one day and all I saw was "Tatum Over 25, Brown Under 22, Porzingis under 15, White over 12" type parlays, I'd probably never come back though.

So far, it's 5 (including myself) for the Old, and 0 for the new. Early voting in favor of the old. Keep chiming in, and keep the votes coming!
And it won't get higher than 5! Why? Because the season is over! Shoulda started the poll in the baseball forum.
But yeah, they ain't changing it back. I've gotten used to it at this point. It just makes it harder for me to pick totals now since they only do last 5 games for the starting pitchers. Then I have to google the game logs separately. But I haven't been playing totals lately. They're such a crapshoot with all these imploding bullpens.
If I want to check back further than the last 10 it's an extra click by clicking on the team, but it can be done.
This is my 20th year on covers. My first big bet was when Belichick intentionally took a safety on MNF. They were down 1, and instead of punting from their 1 yard line, and allowing them to ice the game with 1 first down, he took the safety, did the free kick, and won the game.
Anyways, I get it covers. You don't give a crap about us vets. You wanna attract the next generation of degens. And believe me, these apps are the most addicting things I've ever used. And they attract all these kids with these boosted or risk free same game parlay promos.

Your insight on the timing of the poll is certainly correct. I use the NBA matchups page a lot, haven't been doing baseball for ages and wasn't really thinking about MLB; that's why I started the poll in this forum. But yeah, it was really quite, quite late in the season to start this.
I am, though, starting another poll in the MLB forum.
Thanks for the feedback!

So there you have it! 6 votes to 0, in favor of the old. Small sample, but quite one-sided.
Good luck to Covers, in trying to attract the younger crowd (I'm giving credence to what @slamspurs said about your mindset) with the new format, which (thus far) seems very unpopular among the old timers. Unless, of course, there is a change of heart on the part of Covers!
Note: I have started another "new format" vs. "old format" poll in the MLB forum, titled "Taking a poll - new vs. old Covers MLB matchup page format". Feel free to visit that thread.

Hello @newmoney, the 'My Scores' feature you're referring to was removed from the league Scores & Matchup pages in the recent updates that started in the spring. However, I'm happy to inform you that our product team is working on adding a feature that will allow you to select games to appear at the top of your league Scores & Matchups page.
