GL BB, Lean the Spurs as well.
Well BB, you are only one of a few on this site that actually talks basketball and uses this site for discussion.. Just wanted to get this out there...
Warriors have sealed up #1.. Good on them on an amazing season.
Grizzlies, Rockets, Blazers, Clippers and the Spurs are all trying to get into the top 4 or hold their spot in there..
Blazers remaining schedule:
vs Clippers, @ Lakers, vs Pelicans (B2B), @ Nets, vs Wolves, @ Warriors (B2B), vs Jazz, @ Thunder and @ Mavs
You would think Blazers would go at least 4 or 5 wins at least.. I think the game in Brooklyn is a massive fade because it will be their 4th in 5 nights and Nets potentially trying to get into 8th or will be in there trying to hold on.. They have no chance against the Warriors on a B2B, they have struggled against the Jazz lately in Utah, OKC will want a win and then Mavs will want some revenge for their loss in Portland around 3-4 weeks ago..
Rockets schedule
vs Kings, @ Mavs (B2B), @ Thunder, @ Spurs, vs Spurs, vs Pelicans, @ Hornets (B2B), vs Jazz
Tough ask for my boys.. I can see them actually going maybe just 4 or 5 in this mix. Should beat Kings, may struggle against Mavs in Dallas, again against OKC, then a double header for the Champs, then vs Pelicans which they should win, B2B vs the Hornets should be a win and then a tough game in Utah..
Clippers schedule
vs Warriors, @ Blazers, @ Nuggets, @ Lakers, vs Lakers, vs Grizzlies, vs Nuggets @ Suns.
By far, once they get the next 2 nights out of the way, the Clippers have the easiest schedule. If they can manage a win vs the Warriors, then who knows what they can do in Portland. Nuggets they should handle OK and then double header vs the Lakers. Automatic 2 wins. Grizzlies will be a tough ask and then Nuggets again at home and then the Suns who have fallen apart since the Dragic trade. I think they can win at least 6 of these games.
Spurs schedule
@ Heat, @ Magic (B2B), vs Nuggets, @ Thunder, vs Rockets, @ Rockets, vs Suns @ Pelicans.
Kind of a mixed kind of schedule with some wins you would think against Heat, Magic, Nuggets, Suns and Pelicans. I think they can win 1 against the Rockets and then potentially beat OKC in OKC because the Thunder, lets face it are the same caliber as Spurs without KD. I think Spurs go 7 wins in the last 8.
Grizzlies schedule
vs Thunder, vs Wizards (B2B), vs Pelicans, @ Jazz, @ Clippers (B2B), @ Warriors, vs Pacers.
Grizzlies got a win today vs a Cousinless Kings but that doesn't mean much IMO. They will struggle in these games. Thunder will give them a run for money in their next game, they should beat the Wizards. Pelicans as well. But i think they might struggle in Utah and then Clippers on a B2B. Warriors should beat them and the Pacers might be playing for their playoff position in the final game of the season.
After all this info, I guess my point is that I believe Spurs can put together 7 wins in their final games and that the Grizzlies, Blazers and Rockets have a tough ask in staying in their positions. I personally believe the Spurs will sneak into the top 4 at the expense of the Rockets. That double header vs the Rockets is going to be crucial on who gets into the top 4.
