Excellent article by Rick Telander of the Chicago Sun-Times talking about the lack of traveling and palming calls in the NBA game..I would contend that it's worse than ever.
Guys used to get one step which became two, which now in some cases is up to four..An example would be Rondo's fake pass layup which looks pretty but is a clear travel.
Palming has also become the norm as you will see it on every other possession..I would contend that if traveling and palming no longer exist, they should be dropped from the rule book.
What is the point of having rules that you don't enforce?
