You get a desperate team playing for its series life and one of the best in the west with a boatload of points.
First leg: Nets teased +4.5 to +7.5:
This is it for the Nets. I can't say they will win but I expect them to. Regardless, 7.5 for a game that is almost certain to be close will seal the deal with this leg of the teaser. While the Nets put up a putrid 31 in the first half of the last game, their comeback spoke volumes to show they could do something and score some points against this Bulls lockdown D today. If they lost by 17 last game, I'm not so sure 7.5 would be solid, but coming within a three of a tie in Chicago tells me this is either a Nets win or a very close loss. This is Deron's team and he needs to step up in a big way. He is the face of this team, got Avery fired and will have a big game today to justify both to regain HC. PJ is playing for his coaching life as the Nets will move onto a bigger name if they fall in the first round, a fall which is near certain to happen if they go down 3-1. Nets will leave it all on the court making 7.5 a huge cushion for a game that will go down to the wire.
Second leg: Clippers teased +4.5 to +8
Speaking of leaving it all on the court, that is what Memphis did last game and this game was still up for grabs late in the 3rd quarter. Z-Bo dominated as the ball was pounded into the bigs which the Clips couldn't overcome. Worse, CP3 had an uncharacteristic 5 turnover game and the team had an awful 18 turnovers. Don't expect a repeat performance with that carelessness today. The Clips are the better team having won 6 of the last 8 in this series. I have a series bet on the Clips and I expect them to come home with a 3-1 advantage. But should the bigs dominate again, 8 is more than enough for a Clippers team that wants to avoid another 7 gamer at all costs with the Grizz like last year. To put a vice grip on the series, a win today is a necessity. I have the Clips in a posted series bet mainly because of the loss of Gay and key role players who the Grizz dumped to avoid paying the luxury tax. The Grizz are going backward and will pay with a loss in this series. Should they be victorious today, it won't be by a whopping 8 points.
While I like the both road teams without the tease, I can't pass up 15.5 points for a desperate team with its season at stake and one that is simply better looking to end the series at home next game.
A teaser allows both these games to be brought over the standard key number of 7 which makes inconsequential spreads without a tease, golden with them.

The best bet today is a tease.

Uh, I don't know if you can read or not but I have them winning the series...in a thread you commented in which is even more damning on your part. Quite embarrassing actually. Makes you look like you have selective amnesia...
And if the celtics can play one decent 2nd half this is a 2-1 series so get off your high horse.
Weak effort coming in here claiming one thread takes precedence over the other when the second was made with an official pick and the first was to start a conversation about emotion in the city and its effect on the team. But I wouldn't expect much from what is a essentially a child of your age...
Go try out as the first male Knicks city dancer next year...
You have a year to practice your splits, fanboy.

BOL today scal. But I don't understand basketball teasers. It seems so easy for a 2 pt game to turn into an 8 game in the last minute or so.
It certainly can turn into an 8 pt game. But it's funny you mention that number of 8. It's close to a key number of 7. 10 is also a key number. If you can trease a spread to or over key numbers on both games, it's worth the tease.
For example, the nets were getting 3.5 last game against the bulls. It took the miracle of miracles to cover for the nets. If you tease to 8, you are sitting pretty even with Noah on the FT lime before he shoots.
Getting 8 and 7.5 with the clips and nets respectively both cross a key number of 7. Good opportunity to tease, aside from what is stated above. Both are right at the 8 you mentioned.

Get the point Scal beat it, no one wants you hear or could care less about anything you have to say. I'm surprised you didn't bring up something about RACE, like Brooklyn might have a better chance tonight because there is a lot of black people in Chicago or Zach Randolph was racially profiled in his arrest last time.
