I think a lot of people are looking at these two games and laughing at these ridculously high spreads. Charlotte -7? Clippers -8? These are two teams that have horrible histories and again, are both off to pretty ugly start this season. That's why people find it a little stunning to see numbers these high. This is the type of line the Mavericks or Lakers would get against a weak team... not these two underacheiveing cellar dwellars.
It's for that reason though that I'm actually leaning toward taking the Clippers and the Bobcats tonight. I hate to use the word 'trap', but I get the feeling the books want you to throw your money on these big dogs simpily because it is the Clippers and the Bobcats. Two teams that always find a way to lose.
