YESTERDAY: 1-1
YTD: 14-11
First of all, I am completely NOT trusting myself. I was singing for weeks how the OKC/HOU matchup favored UNDERS and then abandoned that after losing the play when Game 3 went to OT. So yesterday, I was CONVINCED the Rockets would win, which they did, but the sloppy end of game ended up costing a cover. In the end, good work by those who backed OKC.
Today, I am CONVINCED Toronto wins pretty handily. They will turn up the defense and I think they figured some things out from Game 2, even though they lost. I don't really need to write up much more about it because all indicators point to them winning and I already placed a sizable wager last night on them. The line has since gone up to -2 but I don't think that matters. Psychology also plays a part in sports, as most people know, and I think the NEED and DESIRE for the Raptors to win far outweighs that for Boston. No home court advantage here so I believe that Lowry will control things, stay away from foul trouble, and Van Fleet could also have a pretty big game. I just think the Raptors need to drive more to the basket vs. fall in love with the outside shooting, let Tatum get his points, and dare Kemba, who is hobbled, to beat them.
PLAY 1: TORONTO (-2) BIG PLAY
Second play is one I also took last night but it's in MLB. If you don't bet MLB, don't tail. Not that I have been bad at it, in fact, quite the contrary, but it's not for the feint of heart. With no fans, delays, and HORRIBLE bullpens, these games you think will win have flipped the script faster than in years past. But today, the Chicago White Sox, a team that has in many ways outperformed what some thought they could, has a really great matchup vs. the KC Royals. In fact, the White Sox, who face Danny Duffy, a Left Handed Pitcher, are a mind-blowing 11-0 vs. southpaws! Now, that stat could very well change after tonight, it's hard to think a team wins EVERY game against left handed pitching, but I don't think that will happen. Mainly b/c Dylan Cease, whose last outing was not great, is on the mound and I believe he bounces back. The White Sox have also surprisingly had a VERY good bullpen and win most their games handily, winning 19 OF 22 GAMES BY MORE THAN ONE RUN. That's enough for me to make this a play:
PLAY 2: CHICAGO WHITE SOX (-140) BIG PLAY
CHICAGO WHITE SOX -1.5 (+110)
As most of you know, my favorite team is the LA Clippers. While that might sound strange, as I've literally had little to cheer about until recent, I have had a very strong angle on them and intend to potentially play their game tonight. I'm leaning to the OVER as I think the Nuggets legs will tire towards the end of the game and leave the Clippers with some easy opportunities. But I will have a true play on that game later on. Good luck to all...
