I know I haven't been posting. But Kobe's retirement may bring unique opportunities to us, bettors. This thread is geared towards capping the remaining 66 games of the Lakers and the teams they will be up against. Here’s to helping each other make some more dough. With analyses and insights from each other, this thread can (hopefully) make our NBA wagers winners.
After 20 years of playing in the NBA, Kobe Bryant is finally hanging his laces. We all know the accomplishments and accolades that he has garnered throughout his career. Even Magic considers him the closest thing to the G.O.A.T, Michael Jordan. IMO he is the most famous NBA player that is going to retire after MJ. And because of this, certain individuals will make a lot of money. Even his letter to the fans given last Sunday at Staples is cashing in on e-bay. The opened one is currently at $650 and the sealed one at $1500. The owners will enjoy the spike in attendance when the Lakers visit. Basketball shows will preview the best of the best of Kobe. It's a win-win for everybody!
So here goes my first play...
The Wizards opened +9.5pt at Cleveland. The public pounds them coz' of the points. And besides, they are a good team on a 4 game slide. One thing I noticed was the last game at Q against the lowly Nets (4-13). They were +8.5. As of this time, Wizards are only +9. So are you telling the me that the Nets and Wiz are the same? Then I saw that Wiz are on a b2b against the Lakers at home. I think Vegas is factoring in the current problems within the coaching staff and the stars plus the look ahead at home against a motivated Lakers team to get a W for Kobe. Hence, the line. Who knows, Swaggy P might blow off in that game...
IMO, Washington won't bring their game to the Q.
