Solid night last night. Could've been huge if Pacers held on but still came up almost 2 units. Let's keep it rolling tonight.

Tuesday Leans:

LAL -3: Lakers are starting to run on thin ice in the playoff picture, and with Boston and Philadelphia on deck you gotta think this is a must win for the Lakers. LeBron is back and rested and the Lakers' young core is looking to prove themselves to future suitors. While Indy has remained solid defensively since the loss of Victor Oladipo, they have been very, very bad offensively. A little but worried, as LeBron, Kuzma, and Hart are still only listed as probable, but will likely pull the trigger before line goes back to -3.5 or even higher.

MIA/POR over 212.5: While the Heat don't have any true stars(other than Wade), they have a lot of good players, and it's hard for me to see them struggling to score much longer. Portland's defense is average at best, and their backcourt defense is almost nonexistant. Fortunately for Miami, most of their players that can score are guards or wings. The two teams went for 231 in their first meeting, so this one seems a bit low.

DET/NYK over 205: Detroit seems to be hitting right now, and their tired legs might mean less defense. New York has to hit some shots eventually. This one would be betting on regression more than anything(Knicks 7 straight unders and 9 of last 10), but it is a good spot to go over.

I feel you. I respect that a lot more than someone who just blindly tails others. 

I haven't locked in POR over yet. Only thing that worries me is I think the line is fishy. In the first game the line was set at 221, they went for 231, and now in the second game the line is 211.5?? Seems like the books want action on the over.

Yes, it does seem that way. Considering that both teams have been holding opponents to around 105 ppg last 5 games and the Heat are only averaging 97 ppg and shooting 43% last 5 games, the line may be warranted. Was on Lakers at first glance but after digging in I think the wrong team may be favored..

Pacers on their 3rd game in the 4th night hitting a lakers that only had 1 while lebron sat against the warriors (as far as i see he will play). Pacers won two hard fought games and are now in LA, staying in the city until friday when they play the clips. Those guys will party and blow off some stress, i see the lakers more focused on getting back into playoff contention. Let's go

      This one seems a bit low considering the first matchup between the two went for 231 points. I think the low line is due to recency bias. The Blazers have been able to hold opponents to low scores lately, but when you look at the numbers its hard to give them credit for that. They have played:

       Utah (21st in PPG)

       Atlanta (19th in PPG)

       Phoenix (23rd in PPG)

Miami has a lot of depth at the guard and wing positions and that is where Portland struggles to defend. On the other hand, I think the total is being brought down due to the Heat's recent struggles to score, but it is easy to understand why they would have a hard time putting up points against the Pacers and Thunder - two of the best defenses in the league. This one goes over.
