Public is on OKC, but it seems all the best cappers on this forum are on the 76ers... I dont understand exactly why...
I live in Philadelphia and I am a die hard 76ers fan. This is a typical game where they lose. They beat up on bad teams, everyone (including myself) gets mislead into thinking they can establish themselves as a top team, then they get trashed by a real competitor. They had a good run to start off the year, and I think once the rest of the team got its legs under them adn stopped overlooking Philadelphia they are being exposed for what they are. At best a mediocre team with no legitimate superstar. Hustle and defense doesnt win consistently in the NBA, you need a superstar. Its cute that they try so hard and have so many players willing to dedicate 100% effort night in and night out, but in the long run they get out classed and out skilled by superior talent.
Andre Iguodala will be defending Kevin Durant. Durant has a size, length and skill advantage over Iguodala. Iguodala as a "premiere defender" in the NBA seems to be the general consensus around the league although I disagree. I've seem him get lit up many a times. MAYBE Iguodala can keep Durant under 30 points tonight.
Top PGs in the NBA have lit up the 76ers all year. Jrue Holiday is a liability on defense who still can't defend a pick and roll. Russel Westbrook may turn the ball over 10 times, but he will still score at least his season averages if not close to 40 points tonight.
I just dont see the sixers covering the +3. They rarely win close games because they dont have a "scorer" in the clutch. I would be shocked, and pleasantly surprised if the 76ers kept within single digits of OKC tonight. It is much easier for me to see OKC winning by 15+ than the sixers covering the +3 - +4 depending on what your book is showing.
I think I will place a small bet on OKC, and gladly lose money to see my team, my town, my Philadelphia 76ers keep it close against the premiere team in the league.

I know... thats always discouraging when your on the same side as all the public. I just dont see the sixers even staying competitive with OKC. Thats why I will make a small play on OKC and if I'm wrong be pleasantly surprised and take the loss to see my team come up with a big win.

I'm also thinking to back Thunder, simply because they have ability to get to the line frequently, while Sixers are last in the league in free throw attempts.(for me key advantage). Sixers must be really hot to stay close, but against OKC, I'm suspicious about that. Sixers if want to win(or stay close) must put real pressure and make OKC to do turnover and put them away from free throw line.

i hate going with the such a high public % on OKC but yeah... Sixers dont get to the line as much as they would need to, and even if they do, they dont consistently hit FTs anyway.

There is no shot in hell the 6ers are winning this game. Not too sure why people are worried to pound OKC. They are the best team in the Nba and will have below 12 losses all year.

what makes you think that? Sixers lost 7 of 9 and 5 straight 4 of which they were favored in before beating up on a terrible detroit team last night. What makes you think the sixers will even be competitive against OKC and why should they be favored?

PR1.....I think your conclusions are right on.....Sixers haven't seen Thunder this year so they are in for a bit of shock tonight with respect to their speed....Westbrook should have a big night against Holiday....OKC will force some turnovers that normally Sixers don't make....
Thunder cover easily and keep the total Under....

Before Sixers beat the lowly Pistons yesterday, they had lost 5 in a row.. I expect Thunder to win this going away.. Westbrook and Durant are nearly unguardable, If Lou Williams doesnt shoot lights out, they wont have enough offense to win this game

even if lou williams shoots lights out, James Harden will likely match him.
