Will the Celtics even want to win it on Sunday?

Question

They know they can probably win at will at home so I think they might "take a game off" and let LA win 5 so they can win it in front of their home fans. A victory parade would be cool but that ain&#x27;t gonna compare to their fans seeing their moment of glory live.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;I think the Lakers obviously matchup poorly against them and at this point have been broken in spirit. To me the only question is whether Boston wants to finish them off Sunday or wait for Game 6.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;I am thinking I will take the Lakers ML next game then Celtics to win the series, since it will stupidly go down some after an LA win (Vegas has a hard on for LA). What do you think?

I don&#x27;t think Cetics will "take a game off" in game 5 they will play as hard, but Lakers will put up a fierce fight when their backs are againt the wall. Should be a good game.

That is do ridiculous to think a team will want to &#x27;take a game off" and win it at home.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;The Celts will play to win on Sunday. maybe they will win and then maybe not but they are not going to tank it on purpose.

Paul pierce Hometown is LA I think he would want to win it there and so will the other Celtic players. Maybe this should be the question would the Lakers want to travel all the way back to BOston just to get beat there?

I also don&#x27;t think 2 days to stew about that historical collapse is going to help the Lakers psyche either.  They threw everything at the Celtics in the first quarter and it still wasn&#x27;t enough.  Nothing could help them.  Not the league MVP, the Hall of Fame coach, the home crowd or the refs.  Nothing.  The Lakers have absolutely nothing to rally around.  The Celtics are the team of destiny and will being going for the kill on Sunday.

Good points. I only started this thread cuz I am uncertain. Maybe biased too because I want to see them win it at home and jubilation and shit when I win my series bet instead of a bunch of blank faces.

Yeah Pierce did seem like he was very serious about Game 5 in the interview after 4. I think LA knows they cannot come back and they already gave their best game...

I might bet the LA spread and Boston ML. I figure if they even keep it within 8 they will probably slit their throats.

I think you mean LA ML and Boston spread to give your chance to win both wagers.
