I believe the W’s played according to their game plan and should have won the game. If I were Kerr, I wouldn’t deviate much from their game plan as you want the Celtics to beat you the way they did: their backups having big games which won’t consistently happen in a 7 game series. W’s limited Tatum to 12 points and should continue to stick with the Jordan rules script and if Derrick White, Al Horford, and Payton Pritchard play out of their mind to beat you then so be it since those players won’t consistently play like they did in Game 1.
Therefore, so long as the W’s can limit Tatum and Brown to under 20 points each per game, then they will win the ship in 6 or 7 games. W’s need to continue to push the pace and get easy transition buckets. Also, they need to run more half court sets with back cuts and double screens for the Splash Bros like they did masterfully during their back-to-back championship runs. When playing this style of small ball predicated on speed and precision, it will take away the bully ball the Celts imposed on them during the 2nd half. More importantly, Poole and Wiggins needs to step up and if they do, the W’s should be NBA champions in 6 or 7 games. Finally the W need to mix up their defensive sets between 3-2 Zone (when they Celts go Big ie Horford and Robert and Grant Williams) and play man when the Celtics go small with Wiggins on Tatum as he is athletic enough to slow him down like he did in Game 1.
That said, I don’t expect the W’s to make any radical changes and see them stick to the same game plan as Game 1 even though they loss.
Just my $.02 cents!

That line is low though for how much action is on the warriors. Thats a little odd to me. As a Warriors fan Im not that optimistic. If Warriors win Game 1, I think it would have carried over to Game2. Now the opposite may happen. The gameplan isnt horrible, the problem is the rotations by draymond and poole were horrendous. Green missed 2-3 easy twos and then gave up a bunch of threes. The Celtics have the ability to shoot like that again bruh. They play really well on the road. Even in their losses on the road this post season they have been super close. That bucks game where horford was close at the buzzer and then the game where they blew the big lead to the Heat because Tatum got frustrated and turned the ball over. Ppl are pounding that Warriors ML for game 2 got me a little worried. They should win it, but man did they choke it off game 1. Warriors fucked around too much and it got them.

I just hate the strategy of betting that a team wont lose two games in a row. Warriors are my team and I knew once Kerr took out Curry late in the third that it would be a problem and I was 100% correct. He fucked up the offensive flow to the game. He should have kept him in and tried to build the lead. Then he can rest him a little bit mid 4th for a couple minutes and if it gets dicey bring him back. Once he brought him back the momentum shifted and the other players were doing awful. I just dont trust kerr’s rotations in this series at all. I trust the players more than him even running the offense. All that movement offense shit only works when there is rhythm. Its not easy running that offense when players are cold in the fourth quarter. He made a mistake in the secone quarter too taking out Steph to start the second. He either should have kept him in there or to start the fourth. He did niether. This is a tough matchup for the Warriors and your rotations have to be perfect.

Curry and every other NBA star, always rest after the 3rd or late into the 3rd quarter Stop over analyzing, the Celtics just got the hot hand in 4th quarter

1. If the Warriors leave PP Horf and White as open as they did, they WILL get swept. They're actually good shooters.
2. Bucks, Heat, and Celtics' playoff defense are miles better than GSW's playoff defense.
3. GSW with Draymond and Looney on the court at the same time are EXTREMELY limited on offense. They won't win the series if Draymond is chucking 12 shots a game.

IMO, the only way the W’s win the series is if they play small ball and dictate the pace like they did in their prior championship runs. The question is whether they are still athletic and relentless enough to run and execute their off the ball motion offense which is a hybrid of the old Princeton back door cuts off double screen schemes etc. The Splash Bros and Dray Dray are now old time vets (and Klay is clearly not the same athletically) but they still have their elite basketball IQ. Can the youngsters ie., Poole and Wiggins step up and cement their legacy? Can they coax one more run out of Igoudala and can Porter Jr., finally get a chance to win a title? If all of these can happen, then the W’s got nothing to worry about!
Otherwise, we could very well be witnessing the symbolic passing of the torch from the old school W’s to the new school Celtics. The nucleus of Tatum, Brown, and Smart sprinkled in with their consummate vet in big Al and one of the most underrated defensive bigs in the NBA in RWIII, the Celtics are positioned to rule the roost for the next couple of years with the only real threat being the Bucks as I believe they would have beaten the Celts of Middleton was playing.
Nevertheless, I am going to enjoy these NBA Finals. My gut is telling me to go all out on the W’s tomorrow 1H -2 and GM -4.5 each risking $5,500 to win $5k. But my mind is telling me put $5k on Celts ML to win $7,500. I guess I’ll make my mind up shortly before the tip off.
