There are dozens of articles and information about how the NBA is similar to a stock market - you buy and sell at the right moment - and most importantly try to "buy low and sell high" and this is not just an understatement.
Here are my last 2 recent examples for buying low a total line:

And even with all this information I can tell you it's so damn hard to be discipline and/or even make money out of it.
The "rules" that I'm setting for myself or my attempt to 'buy low and sell high' doesn't come with a 100% guarantee. I can still lose all this profit I made this year in 2015 in a matter of seconds if I go and do anything "stupid"....
And part of it during 2015 was placing even an extremely HIGH BET!!

I'm not sharing these links in order to 'spam' or what's not - I'm trying to teach people from my oneself story how unstable this business is, it's not something that could be seen as stable income and my suggestion to anyone who really wants to try it is to realize this can affect your life and can cause you damage with your life etc.
I do not only describe the winnings, I describe the emotions involved, the lack of sleep, the need to be secret about it, and much more.
I can only suggest to you to treat gambling with lots of cautions and when you go to bet - try to 'buy low and sell high' - just like this guy got the Lakers for +15.5 .... (the one who made post #2).
Perhaps against Golden State +15.5 would be meaningless but against a lesser team what he did was smart, he had a bet that had a higher spread than then original line - that's how I try to read this 'market' and as I said no one here is a prophet and no one could guarantee you anything in the end of the day.
