5 yd penalty but 1st down regardless. For example if it&#x2019;s 4th and 50, that penalty gives you a first down. Dumb

&#xA;Looks like some dumb NFL rule that needs some tweaking, will probably need to happen at the end of a SuperBowl for that to happen though.

Have to make it an automatic first down otherwise teams would hold if it was beyond 5 yards to gain. The penalty essentially wouldn&#x2019;t hurt the team doing the hold or illegal contact.
