I've been on KC H1 and FG ever since the conf championship games ended. But after two weeks of the media and SF coaches calling out the SF defense, I'm really starting to second guess myself and could definitely see SF playing inspired defense. I've seen this happen many times when a team/player/offense/defense is publicly called out and they have a great game next time out. I'm now on the fence... how much importance are you placing on this factor?
I still believe KC has better QB, better coaches, better TE, better kicker, and I thought better def but now I'm not sure (sometimes defense is largely determined by effort).
And I think SF has better receivers and running back (although I love Pacheco).
Lastly, a lot of commentary on here about how SF lucked into the SB with GB and Detroit gagging and KC lucked in due to Mia playing in cold weather and Balt having the worst gameplan ever as well as some costly mistakes. The truth is, both teams got pretty lucky to get to this point but sometimes you create your own luck.

I don't doubt that Niners defense will put forth a better effort even before they got called out by the GM. They got 2 weeks to get it fixed. but will it be enough against Mahomes.

Practicing on a NFL indoor practice field vs sod that was overlayed on an outdoor college turf field last week with rain Mon and Tues this week sure is an interesting angle.

Whenever I get buyers remorse I try to focus on the positives, the reasons I picked whatever team
In this case, besides the things you mentioned, I think the Chiefs have the better OLine + DLine. Not based on just my observations, but I also looked up stats from their last 5 games
sacked opposing QB
SF 7
KC 15
sacks allowed
SF 11
KC 5
so I am okay with backing the Chiefs in this game regardless of other factors

It wasn't so much buyers remorse, just a new data point. But your point is taken and thanks for the add'l info to consider. Best of luck with your bets!

I watched the 1989 SB in a sports bar in Kentucky not far from Cincinnati. I remember the Niners came on to the field and were very cool and business-like in their attitude. The Bengals came out of the tunnel juiced, like they were shot out of a cannon. Clearly they seemed to have the edge in energy + enthusiasm. Game was tied 3-3 at HT. Bengals took the lead in the 3rd quarter, but at the end of the game Joe Montana led the Niners down the field for the game winning TD. Bottom line the better QB beat the team that seemed to have the better energy, at least in the beginning of the game.

They didnt come out possessed against Green Bay love against Detroit goff and now they are going to be possessed against Mahomes Kelsey Pacheco and a very good Kansas City defense. How much more possessed can you come out? I don’t know about this and I’m from San Francisco

I hear ya, I was shocked sf came out flat against det after coming out flat against gb. But I think having your manhood and dedication and effort challenged every day for two weeks by your coaches would have an impact?
