Why are you so sure the nfc isn’t winning the super bowl lol?? Niners are still the favorites, regardless if they had a bad game Saturday. Seems like typical covers over reaction. M not saying the ravens or chiefs can’t or won’t win it all, but I’m saying your ignorant if you think the niners or even the lions can’t .

You bet them both (Ravens + Chiefs), one of those teams is not advancing so you gotta factor that lost into the potential payout of the other.
Say Chiefs lose. Your Ravens +200 is not a true +200 bc you have to minus the Chiefs lost.

I didn't say they "couldn't win". I'm wagering they don't win.
Niners are gonna be -3 in SB look ahead line vs. both Ravens and KC, maybe get the hook even if it is KC. Regardless, you are looking at +150 or close to it for the AFC winner. Yes if you straight bet the +200 and +350 for equal amounts you are essentially getting +100 on Ravens and +250 on KC. Your call on whether to do the same amount or not. I like the Ravens to win vs. KC and win SB so I didn't go same amounts. I will also be on Ravens ML +150 or so for the SB.

Again, no where did I say the Niners "can't" win a Super Bowl. Lions over Ravens or Chiefs ?? Nope, not gonna happen. I'm sitting on Niners NFC futures and matchup props with Niners vs. both AFC teams. Also have Ravens over Niners SB props. I would've never have had those futures if I didn't think the Niners could win Super Bowl.
What I am saying now is, I'm confident enough to add to my Ravens position.....and, IF KC were to make the big game I would be on Mahomes and that Defense as a Dog as well. Niners are / will be a favorite in the SB yes. If it is Detroit then all the better cause I'll have plus money on AFC when both AFC teams will be -4 to -5 favorites.
There is no "overreaction". Brock played like shiit cause he can't handle the rain / weather conditions. Shanny coached bum bum too tight cause that's what Shanny does in big situations. This Sunday the conditions will be perfect and I expect Brock to have a very good game vs. the Lions and they should win that game....we will see.

Was trying to find a line on the AFC to beat NFC in the Super Bowl. Pretty sure this would be a better bet than the way you are playing it. Basically there wouldn't be much value unless the Lions or Chiefs win, or both, and if Chiefs win and SF win, still not much value. Actually would be negative value if the favorites both win.
I actually think betting the AFC to beat the NFC would be a great bet, assuming the line is around (+120) currently... but haven't actually seen that line listed.
Would be curious if you or anyone else knows the current line.
If the Ravens play the 49ers, I expect the 49ers to be favored, although they shouldn't be. However, if the Ravens and Lions end up playing, you'd be getting some amazing value at (+120) in a game where the Ravens would probably be favored by about 6 points.

Where did he ever say anything about being sure the NFC won't win, or that they can't win? Get tired of people doing this shit on this forum... just because someone makes a bet, doesn't mean they think it's impossible for the bet to lose.

@Duderonomy
I hear you, can't argue with going that route either..... I only see that Conference line at one of my books as AFC/NFC SB winner dead even at -115. That's not gonna work.
You could also play an open ended parlay with Ravens -180 then fill it at the +120 to +150 price for the SB. That would average out in the +140 to +170 range, better than the +100 price in my original scenario

That's a strange line, considering the 49ers are the favorites, by a considerable margin. Agree that doesn't really have value...

It's Bovada and they aren't exactly known for providing "value". My local doesn't have a line on that and the Hard Rock as them listed NFC -115 and AFC -110.
Regardless, if you feel strongly about the Ravens winning the SB then the +200 you can get now is better than waiting on the NFC winner.

Why not bet KC ML since they’re positive money this game. Bet BAL Super Bowl Winner +200 winner. If KC wins you can bet them ML again Super Bowl.

@vgb824
Yes, of course, just another way to play. I'm not advocating anything other than the AFC being the team to win. Bet KC +150 this week, roll over your winnings to SB week at +120 to +150. It will pay another $1 to $1.50 or so odds over the current +350/375 odds. If you can do open ended parlays with your book then same thing

you literally said “bet them both, the nfc isn’t winning the super bowl”.

True, this would be the only angle I would consider. But if you're adding the Chiefs at +350 you're killing all the value. Pick one and go with it, in my opinion.
The one scenario where you are better off betting (1) Ravens ML this game, then rolling it over to (2) Ravens ML in the Super Bowl, is if the 49ers beat the Lions. But if you do (1) this game, and the Lions win, you would have been better off just taking the +200 now.
So yea... the +200 does make some sense.
Personally, I'll be laying the points against the Chiefs, and then hoping the 49ers win, and taking or laying whatever points they set the spread in the Super Bowl.

JD.... I took a position that the AFC will win the Super Bowl. I stated, "the NFC is not winning the SB". NOT, "the Niners cannot win the SB".
Lions ?? No, they won't win either. If they somehow beat SF, which I don't think they will, then they will lose to either AFC team.
Do things happen such as injuries on the first play of the game knocking out a player named Lamar or Patrick? Yes. If that happened versus the Niners in the SB then the Niners will win that game.
If the Niners and Ravens both win this week, which I am wagering they do, then I feel so strongly about the Ravens winning the Super Bowl that I have already added to my 20-1 Ravens position even MORE on the Ravens to win that matchup. I took a stand by making a statement and backed that up with my wager. It has nothing to do with "the Niners cannot win". Of course they can, but I am wagering they don't.
Hope this clears things up
