So I live down in the ATL and this entire benching of Cousins and inserting Penix has been odd to say the least.
The way It was announced, the way it's been handled, comments from teammates, comments from Cousins and even comments made my Raheem Morris.
While Cousins has played like trash and regressed, word down here is that Pennix never got any legitimate reps even though the Falcons have been "thinking" about making this move for over a month.
Earlier in the week the claim was that Cousins wouldn't suit up again for the Falcons. Now Morris claims they always have Kurt as a safety blanket if Penix struggles. 
Penix was played very little in preseason and then shut down and no legit reps this year. I am not convinced this kid is ready even against the Giants.
Not to mention the NYG have played much better on the road than at home this year. Both there wins this year were on the road. The Giants have not lost a game on the road this year by the current 9 point spread and I'm not convinced they will today as well.
