That includes a mark of 13-1 as a member of the Eagles and an 8-2 record with the Chiefs. When adding postseason games to the equation, Reid's record is 30-6 with an extra week to prepare

I say no. I think he will coach until he is forced out ala BB. I mean the dude has had some of the biggest tragedies in life anyone can go through personally. The only thing that he has going on that he can control and probably feels good about is football. No way in hell he walks away from that. I don't know the man but from what I can tell he seems like he cares about his team so I hope he stays as long as he wants.

On a different note I have to admit I didn't respect him the way I probably should have in Philly but I sure as hell do now in KC. He is one hell of a coach and it shows.

When I saw this, I knew he was destined for greatness! 

21-4 in regular season now, 30-7 overall. Not that it makes a difference anyhoo. Reid with time to prepare

Cant stand Reid and his pompous arrogance but if I am picking between which coach will come prepared and make better decisions for sure I would choose Reid over Shanny, no question about it.

If that’s accurate.. 2 of the 6 losses in the superbowl .. still an all time great coach. 

Yes, and he's 1-3 ATS his last four games following a bye. But, that one winner was last year's Super Bowl!

Shanahan has the weapons to make his life a living hell as long as he doesn't make any horrific clock management decisions.

He’s 2-2 in the super bowl, the stat that counts.  Amazing coach, not trying to take anything away from him. 2 super bowl wins is an excellent accomplishment.  Just stating a fact here, he’s .500 in this game with 2 weeks to prepare each time.

Not only is Andy Reid a great coach, but look at his coordinators.

Steve Spagnuolo is arguably the best DC and defensive mind in the NFL.

Dave Toub is the best special teams coordinator in the nfl, and has been for quite some time.

Although Matt Nagy's stint in Chicago didn't go well, when relegated to just offensive play design and calling, he's good at it. Nagy of all people played an important role in drafting Mahomes. He pushed for him when Alex Smith had the best season of his career. And there were some folks on staff that felt they should of stuck with Smith.

But we all know that the offense is Andy Ried's baby, everything kind of goes through him.

It's one hell of a staff and their culture is top notch in KC.

Yea but that's the ultimate "sample size" stat you can ever find. He'll either be 2-3 or 3-2 after this one.

But I'm with Bator, if I had to make a bet I'd side with Reid over Shanahan. 

Shanahan himself has had a bad SB history. 0-2 if you count the Falcons loss as an OC.

fair enough.  Don’t forget tho, not too long ago people were saying Andy can’t win the big one.  Lost 1 super bowl with the eagles and I believe 4 nfc championship games.  Kyle has to get over the hump, and I think he will.

funny how a coach is all of a sudden is seen as great when they finally hook up with a great player(s), saban no different. no one was calling reid great in Philly was more referred as can’t get over the hump or can’t win the big one just saying
