I feel like I am cursed because whenever I bet small, I win and win I bet big I lose. Today I didn't bet at all and went 90%.
I feel like it's just a circle or the money is just going back and forth.
This may be in the wrong section but I'm hoping to get some feedback because I really do enjoy sports betting. I am just trying to figure out why I am only winning small bets just to lose it back.

That’s your problem right there. You are betting different amounts. Stick to a percentage of your bankroll per bet and don’t change it. Even if you love a play so much, keep it the same and you won’t have that problem. If your bankroll is $1,000, bet 3% of that each play and see how you go. If you got a higher bankroll, then I wouldn’t bet more than 2% per play.

Over the long haul this requires discipline from undisciplined people. Dude just gave you some of the best advice out there. Most people are action junkies with the need to wager every game. If I'm unsure about a game I should lay off, not throw money at because it is on tv, or any myriad of a dozen dumb reasons I come up with. If I lose one day, doubling up on the next wager is a recipe for disaster. The tortoise wins the game, not the hare. Good luck out there.

I usually follow the rule of 80% 1 unit bets, and 20% 2 unit bets. And I have my limit of 10 units a week. But that's just me, and it's just my fun money.

yeah it’s “scared money dont make money” or “you gotta bet big to win big” that gets me to risk my whole bank roll. I’m going to stick 1 unit betting to stay in the game!

Its not just you, very common. 5 weeks ago Lost a big bet and despite picking more winners then losers I took a large loss for the week. I got more discipline and kept all my plays in the same money range and was profitable for 4 weeks straight including a couple of big hits. made the mistake of betting way too much on raiders -2.5 vs giants now despite nailing patriots vikings +7 broncos 10.5 multiple teasers gb +7,5 and un 48 and titans +7.5 despite going 6-2 ats I need steelers ml tonight make a small profit, when if I would have kept that raiders game in the same range as the other bets I would be ahead by a lot. Just try to remember the nfl betting season is a marathon not a sprint.

Happens to all of us. Multiple losers in a row, bad beat after bad beat. It sucks. I know it’s hard but sometimes taking a week or two off can get you back on the winning path. Best of luck. You will turn it around, just don’t chase. It’s a marathon not a sprint.

I also feel cursed my friend, however regardless of the amount I bet it always looses. Be happy you win at all because trust me, sometimes I can't even pick a booger correctly

Great feedback everyone, setting small goals is the key. When I think I have a lock, I'm just going to sprinkle just a little bit more. Nothing is ever guaranteed!

It can mess with your mind...and get you into wrong footing, second guessing, desperation bail out bets and so forth....got to try and look at it as evey win is good win no matter the size of the bet and unmade bets that win, put out of your mind otherwise you get too bollixed up
