I know I know, but a semi garbage team @ home we might take a look and highly likely Pitts a letdown spot after 5 straight wins.....and scoring 50+ pts on primetime
jax actually ain’t that bad, especially at home, at least they have won against NE earlier in the season , right???
take the points is a must and sprinkle some on ML
thoughts??

Pitts has had 10 days to come down from their massacre of Carolina...also, this is just not another game for Pitts IMO (for Ben especially). Jacksonville flat out embarrassed and humiliated them both games last year and knocked them out of the playoffs...
Fournette is back but is his Oline? I mean 24 rushes @ 2.2 yards per last week against the Colts is awful. Conversely, Pitts' Oline is firing on all cylinders and arguably could be the best in the NFL. Conner is off concussion protocol and he is the third best running back in the NFL stats-wise with 770 yards 4.7 yards per rush and 11 tds.
Pitts has also shorn up their run D from last year (from 4.7 yards per to 4.1) 4th against the rush in the NFL and Jacks is ranked 19th against the rush which I see putting them in harm's way in this match-up. Also, Pitts is tied for the league lead in sacks at 31...TJ Watt has become a force (8 sacks) in this area for Blitzburgh. This kind of pressure could spell trouble for Mr. Bortles.
In addition to wrs Brown, Smith-Shuster and Washington, Ben has a healthy Vance McDonald at TE to compliment the play of Jesse James and they have added return specialist Switzer who is also another option in the receiver corps. Pitts has more weaponry on offense than last year.
On the back end, the Pitts' secondary has tightened it up with the play of Sensabaugh, Edmunds, Haden, and Davis. The benching of the corner Artie Burns and the ditching of free safety Mitchell have made this unit one of the strengths of the team IMO. Mike Hilton is another young corner they bring in from and he is a sure tackler and can bring pressure.
Two teams with 5 game streaks...and don't you know that Pitts would just love to return the favor and knock them out of the running this year...I don't normally go for the revenge angle in pro sports but I am sure that #7 would love redemption.

Lancer, you made all the good points .....and you also point it out both teams in a streak .....that’s the biggest question!!!!
Do you really thInk Pitts will keep winning and jax will keep losing ...its good if you have Pitts covered the spread the last 5 games and I will suggest you keep riding the train....if not, I will definitely go with the home team which is a do or die game for them

DEFINITELY AGREE with everything pointed out here!!!
I just don't know, what "effect", if any, the fact that the starting center for Jacksonville being out, will have for this game

With the starting center out it compounds Jacksonville's Oline problems as they are depleted and missing other starters as well. If Fournette is stopped, then the Jacks' offense is much easier to defend.
If Pitts can keep from turning over the ball, they will prevail IMO.

The only way Jacksonville has a chance in this game is if Fournette has a monster game. They need to control the ToP and keep the Steelers offense on the sideline.
Under normal circumstances, this would be a game where you could easily see the Steelers having a let down. But considering what the Jags did to them twice last year, I don’t see the Steelers taking them lightly.

This is a perfect spot for a Steelers let down game. 5 is a lot of points on the road. This game reminds me of the BC FSU game today. Everyone and the kitchen sink was on BC but all it took was 1 deep shot late to finish the game.

2-0 SU and ATS last year is hardly "owning" them. Pittsburgh has won and covered in their last 5 while Jacksonville is 0-5 SU and 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5. I'll take the team that's rolling over the team that's getting rolled...at my peril of course.

Lmao "Semi Garbage Team"... The Jaguars are riddled with injuries.. It's not like they are losing games with majority of their starters out there... The jaguars will once again be rotating a 3rd string left tackle in and out with ERICK FLOWERS (The 1st round BUST from NYG) and ontop of that just lost their starting center... They have 0 threat at WR, practice squad TE, and their only strength on offense is Fornette and Hyde. This will be easy for Pitt to game plan for, and should set up easily for a -5 cover for Pitt.
Stop being dumb, and bet on facts, not feelings you ......

Lmao, please stop, why waste everyone's time with this long post. This is not difficult to cap, the smart play is PITT -5, revenge angle or not. The Jaguars are severely out matched here due to injuries. This current team was built to win through the ground not the air, which makes them severely 1 dimensional, especially due to their current talent at WR and lack of talent at TE due to injuries.
Their is no reason to give this game any sort of extensive write up, the smart call is PITT -5, if for some reason they don't cover it will be because they didn't stop Leonard Fornette / Carlos Hyde and that is it. The jaguars are not built nor do they have the talent to compete in an aerial battle with Pitt, this is not the same team as last year.... They were far more healthy last year, you don't win games in this league with as many injuries as they currently have, its that simple.

Can’t believe he Steelers pulled that one out. No cover, but a hell of a comeback in the second half. Once they decided to stop Fournette and force Bortles to win the game, then the tides turned. Great game.
