It’s a joke. Two Pittsburgh defenders let Baltimore WR scores 70+ yard in one play. I thought I was watching a movie.
@CALB
It was a design play for a backdoor cover. It is all for entertainment and the games are all predetermined which team would cover. We just have to be lucky to be on the right side.

Terrell Edmunds #34 missed the original tackle because Brown sidesteps his tackle (video attached)...then downfield Fitzpatrick #39 is trying to box Brown into the sideline but Brown does a fake left then back right and keeps on going to the end zone in avoidance of the tackle. Minkah had to respect his world class speed and take the bait.
I don't see anything wrong with the play but that doesn't mean I think the NFL is legit...cause I don't. For me it is the refs who decide the outcome of some of these games thru calls or non-calls. If this game were a sandwich it would be called a 'sloppy joe'.

Minkah Fitzpatrick had three tackles and three passes defensed, including one on the final play of the first half when he stripped the ball loose from Luke Wilson in the end zone to save a touchdown.
IMO Fitzpatrick is the best free safety in the NFL.

Well said brother. A fellow bettor who sees through the facade of professional sports. Everything is all scripted. Refs, players and coaches are all paid by the league to create a performance that has been predetermined. Just gotta be on the right side of Vegas. ??

If you go back through the game you will notice that the 2 drops of Diontae Johnson and Ebron are worse, and would also have ended this. Those two plays are unbelievable.
If you were on Pitt, you made the right play. Pitt had 50% more total yards on offense than Baltimore. Out of Baltimore´s 200 yards, 70 were from this stupidity of Pitt´s DB.
The good/bad thing of sportsbetting is that making the right call may not be enough, and we gotta learn to live with that and move on.

I think players and coaches worry about bad karma visiting them if they step on opponent's neck when they are down. As an example, in Week 17 of 2018-2019 season, Dallas were 7.5 point road favorites at NYG in the final regular season game. Cowboys' playoff seeding was already set, and their win or loss in that game would not have mattered. So most people thought Cowboys' starters will only play one quarter or first half only and rest. Surprisingly, Cowboys went full tilt against overmatched Giants and took at least a TD lead at half-time. A lot of people thought they would pull their starters in the second half and play loose to let Giants to cut into their lead or just maintain the scoring difference. The second half line was minus something for Cowboys. Cowboys kept their full starters in the game to the end, crushed the Giants and covered the full game and second half lines. In one play, where Dak Prescott ran the ball into the end zone from about 10-yard line of NYG, he was overcome with joy in scoring the TD and jumped up and down in front of obviously dejected NYG players. The excuse for not resting the starters was to prevent starters getting rusty by sitting out the Wild Card weekend after not playing much in their last regular season.
Cowboys proceeded to lose their first playoff game and bowed out. Ever since then Cowboys have been struggling, beset by injuries and losses. Bad karma enveloped the Cowboys for what they did to rub it into NYG in that game. Dak Prescott, in particular, had a probably career-ending injury earlier this year. Even if he comes back from the injury, he will not be the same. Their coach was canned after 2019-2020 season. So players and coaches are aware of what happens to teams that stomp on their losing opponents. That is probably one reason whey they go easy on losing opponents if they think if they have a game won. This year the Saints may get a visit from bad karma considering the way they embarrass losing teams to the end of the game when the Saints are up big near the end of a game. I don't think they will go very far in the playoffs.
As bettors, trying to predict final scoring margin is not the way to go. Bettors may have more success by sticking to season win totals, a team making playoff, or a team winning their division type of bets. At least so far team owners seem to have enough financial and political power not to be bullied by the league to sacrifice their teams' winning record for the sake of an agenda of the league. So teams like Pittsburgh would not go along with the suggestion to sacrifice their unbeaten record by intentionally losing a game.
