This was -3.5 when it opened & now @ -3. Not sure why it dipped. Fitzmagic injury? Loss their 1st game @ home? Giants 2-0 LY vs WFT?
My thoughts:
I had the LAC +2 as a LARGE play knowing Fitzmagic’s style of play and how this offensive unit moved the ball LY (explained in my LAC writeup). To be honest I was pissed that Fitzmagic got hurt and Heinicke came in. Went from zero to 80 mentally. Personally think 100% that the LAC would have done a better job shutting down Fitzmagic.
This WFT is better ran w/ Taylor Heinicke. he’s tough, excels with the short pass game, & can use his legs effectively. Totally different team with him in the game.
No play, but heavily leaning WFT. I have this number closer to -5.
Will keep you posted…need to study some more.

Honestly couldn’t agree more. Heinicke is a much more mobile quarterback who takes care of the football. I think WFT is better with him at the helm and think Heinicke is an opening week starter next year.
NYG showed an inability to run the ball and manage the game and I think it’s clear Barkley is not 100% recovered from his injury.
I have a few more risk free bets from the new books, so I’ll hammer this and hope to chill on the weekend.

Is WFT pass rush better than Broncos? IMO the answer is yes with Young and Sweat. Thus; too much pressure on Jones and we know he can't handle that. He's gonna fumble of throw interceptions.
My main worry though; van WFT het enough points on the board?

That hook is just asking for Giants money and would make me lean Giants initially. Could be one of those 3 pt finishes either way or could be not.. Giants won 5 straight against them Jones is 4-0 but I will say this, Washington is due. This series can't be that lopsided for the Giants to win again at Washington. I think Washington wins this one, question is by how many?
I see 3, 4 or maybe 6. Won't be a double digit blowout that's for sure...
Sip on that plus money honey!

Also compare the way WFT played against Chargers and the way Giants played against Broncos (Chargers is equal or better than Broncos). I've pulled the trigger on WFT -3.0. Can't see a lot of ways Giants will cover this one. Something like 21-14 I expect to be the result.

Well, he's not a rookie and has some experience.

As much as like Danny Dimes, I just think this Giants team will regress some this year for 2 major reasons: Their run game & their coach. Although it’s been just 1 game, Barkley doesn’t seem like himself, and the coach doesn’t present himself as a HC.
Can’t imagine this WFT losing B2B home games. Good head coach plus, solid defense, and a QB looking to win a starting job. Bills on deck as a +9 pt dog clearly indicates this is a must win if they want any chance @ reclaiming the division title.
Offensively Jones and his unit is nowhere near how LAC/Herbert Co operates. For example, LAC completed 74% of their 3rd conversion vs WFT. (converted 14 of their 19 third downs). Can’t imagine Jones & Co accomplishing this similar numbers. Herbert shows poise, patience, & accuracy - don’t care what defense is out there, but if you’ve got skill sets that comes naturally, any defense will be kept on their toes.
Home field + better coach/culture + better defense + a QB trying to win a job is worth greater than the -3.5 points I’m getting.
Fill them bags

WFT -3.5 (LARGE)

Yes, always thought this team was cursed by the Indians. Change the name, and all of sudden we’re pretty good. We’ll see if the curse has been lifted tomorrow.

I think Heinicke & this offense is worth at least 20 points. Can’t imagine Giants scoring 2TD’s... Td & 2Fg is more likely??? Can picture a score of 24-13, 21-13, 20-10.

i agree completely that Heinicke is actually an upgrade over Fitzpatrick. He's not going to put the team on his back and throw for 400 yds or anything, but he'll keep the offense on schedule. He doesn't have a great arm, but Fitzy doesn't either really. TH can make plays with his legs too. I'm also just kind of fading Daniel jones here. I was rooting for him after he got booed at the draft, but the kid just doesn't have any consistency at all, and has zero poise in the pocket. If im a Giants fan, i'd worry about them scoring points against bad defenses not just this road game against one of the best d-lines in football. And also like you, i think this Giants coaching staff is subpar.

Heineken shredded the Bucs defense in a playoff game and his poise in that game still sticks with me. I’m on the Skins very big.
