KC was without 2 of their 3 best players. And those K Toney drops.. one resulting in a pick 6, and one on their last possession to get into FG range.. that's crazy stuff.
This is coming from someone who had a Det ML/Under parlay (unposted). That was a lucky win, folks.

we have to acknowledge when we're lucky when we win, cause we certainly acknowledge when we're unlucky when we lose..
but the main thing is, there's a lot of Lions love out there, and tonight, even with a win that looks impressive at first glance, I didn't really see it the impressive team that some people are talking about..
good luck all.. here's to a beat the books season..

Lions did get some good fortune, but by the same token, shot themselves in the foot a few times as well..it sort of evens out---Im not calling for them to win the S.B., but it is apparent they are a pretty solid team all around.

Kelce or no kelce.... injuries happens, but they just beat the defending Champs in their homecourt. If lions win their next 5 games..... people gonna come up with other excuses that they are lucky.

You made some great points. Acknowledging lucky wins for instance. I was on KC in the Superbowl and thought that was a lucky win. The ref call on Smith-Shuster was iffy and tik tacky at best.

For sure we need to thank K Toney big time this morning!!!
But you’re acting like the Lions played a great game lol. Pretty poor offensive performance imo compared to what I saw 2H of last season.
Also had multiple rookies (Gibbs, Branch, Campbell) starting/playing significant snaps and they were pretty solid. Can only imagine they’ll get better.
Hutch was awesome and that was with Taylor lined up illegally and false starting all night long. D made some big time plays against one of the better OL’s in the league late in the game.
Went into the defending champs building on banner night and came out with a W.
FWIW, the Lions were only underdogs in about 4 games this season when looking at the pre - season lines. Last night was one of them. Don’t think you’re seeing any “overreaction” based on last night.

For the lions to not hit their total over is beyond me I just don’t get it I had piles on that and lost along with chiefs spread to back myself up. Of course another 0-2 nfl start in week 1 like last year

Lions aren't going to shot themselves in the foot like they used too. Ben Johnson isn't chucking the ball down field but rather throwing the short routes which Goff is accurate when he has time. Lions have a top 5 o-line so Goff is dinking and dunking down the field. Montgomery and Gibbs is a solid Rb duo.
Defensively they might not be very good but they are going to make plays. This secondary will give up some plays but they have ballhawks out there. Remember they will be getting Mosley back on the field and when healthy he's good. Hutch as seen from last night has a motor on him and creates disruption in the pocket.
Big thing is Campbell has this team believing better yet knowing they belong in the conversation for one of the better teams in the NFC if not the league. When the 53 players in the lockerroom believe that and back their coach the team will be in every game and win a bunch of those games. I follow many of the beat writers in the city and everyone is saying this team has something special cooking. It's not the Same Old Lions.
