Not much for pre season, but really like the Bengals at home coming off a dreadful performance against the Bears who are missing their top 4 wideouts on their depth chart coming into the season. Eddie Royal is a possibility but coming off a recent hip injury and considering their issue at the position I can't see them risking their only healthy wide receiver and certainly not for more than a look see if he does manage to start. The Bears are also still trying to adjust their new 3-4 defensive alignment and Cincy's 1-2 punch of Hill and Bernard at running back should prove problematic. On top of this, in the secondary the Bears don't even know who their starting free safety will be yet. Also with Jeremiah Ratliff being suspended, rookie Eddie Goldman will almost certainly play a lot at nose tackle as he will be starter for the position come week 1, and as mentioned above the Bengals running game should be able to exploit the Bears new 3-4 defense, specifically with the rookie in there. The Bears are banged up and sporting a 2-0 pre season record while the Bengals starters are at home and coming off of playing embarrassingly bad last week. I found enough here to risk the listed amount in the pre season week that gives us the most playing time for starters of the pre season schedule with it being their final time to tune up for the regular season.
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.
