Bet of the weekend.

The San Francisco 49ers are looking exactly like the 2011 NY GIANTS.  That was the year the giants finished the year 6-2, went into the playoffs as a dog in every game and went on to beat the perfect Patriots. 
 
like the giants of 2011 the 49ers have peaked at the perfect time. Their defense is playing at a championship level as witnessed last week.  Offensively Jimmy G just came off of one of the worst performances in his career and despite that still won. Just like Eli did that year it was enough in to win. I don’t see that kind of horrible performance again. 

2022 will be a super bowl rematch….but this time the 49ers will somehow beat the chiefs.

 Big difference, the post season play of Eli Manning that year, 106/163, 65%, 1219 yds, 9 TDs and only 1 pick, he was outstanding. JG 2 playoff games 303 yds, 0 TDs, 2 picks. Giants don't get to the Superbowl let alone beat Brady and the Patriots without the stellar play of Manning. 9ers have won their 2 playoff games in a completely different manner, defense and special teams. Winning is winning, how they got there, not nearly the same.

 Giants also won by defense.  Patriots only scored 14.    They were averaging about 35 a game.  

I've got the Niners +5500 to win the Super Bowl, but I'm not very confident. I took them on the future bet because they were a good team, undervalued, and with long odds. Garoppolo narrowly missed a couple of pick sixes last week. He's too risky for me to back in a game as big as this one. They have a strong defense, but that might not be enough. I think this game could go either way. I bet the Chiefs in the early game, and I'll just watch this game while counting the money I won earlier. (unless the Chiefs don't cover and I need to chase Ha Ha) Good luck everyone.

 Giants did play good defense but they don't win a playoff game without Eli stepping up the way he did

 It’s a team sport so everyone has a part to do.  

Everyone deserves credit.  Some more than others.  

Most people would agree that Eli’s effort could be replicated by many QBs.  Same for Jimmy G. 

Jimmy G’s passes are mostly to wide open receivers.

It's funny, when I was looking at the LA/TB match up last week I was telling friends the Rams reminded me of that Giants team with their potential to get in Brady's face. Although they did just that for most of the game, they didn't shut the GOAT down as drastically as the Giants did in '07 & '11. I'm down with SF but for me I think maybe it's my heart overruling. I definitely can see them doing it, but it's going to be a tough climb. Stafford has proven he's got the cool to hang and take the hits to get it done. If Bosa is healthy, it's going to be a great game - really looking forward to it. BOL  

The 49ers are one of the luckiest teams in NFL history just to be here. They'll get exposed today for the complete frauds that they are. The Rams are 10 points better than this team. This game won't even be close.
