Biggest lock to win a division title

Carolina won the division by 7 games or more last year. Would u say they are the biggest lock in NFL to repeat as division champs

News today on Patriots injuries. Dion Lewis 2nd surgery, out 8-10 weeks. Sebastian Vollmer out again, possibly for the season. Shaq Mason broken hand. All today. Love the question. I was going to place a huge division future wager on the Pats to win the division at 4-9, figuring it was a lock. They probably still win, buy I'd be too scared to place a huge bet on it with all these injuries. Would love to hear other people's division locks that have odds value. Cowboys may be a possibility.

Non of them are locks

Imho, the Bengals are the most rounded team and have a decent shot at the AFC North.

Considering their schedule, the Packers should take the NFC North. I need to see a 100% healthy Jordy though, and the Vikings will contend to the end.

Lean Jets AFC East
Lean Jags AFC South
AFC West(toughest call)

Lean Redskins NFC East
(Year 3 of Jay Gruden, and probably the best D in that division)
Lean Panthers NFC South
Lean Seahawks/Cards NFC West(tough as well)

One bad injury to 39 yr old Palmer and they are screwed.

I love how people can watch this preseason and not come away with either Panthers or Cowboys. How is it even close?

The other divisions have competition. The Cowboys are in year FIVE of Garrett without a hole on their entire roster. People question the D, but look at the first half of both Preseason games. Blowouts. 

With their first team Offensive Line in, the Cowboys have scored on every drive but one, and that was a drive that had 9 penalties. 

The Panthers, similarly, with starters on the field, have only not scored on two drives, and looked dominant in the process. 

The fact that someone can come on here and even think the word Giants as anything but a dumpster fire has me super pumped for week one, hoping the Cowboys stay below -6.

The cowboys look good, but remember last year how good the eagles looked in preseason?  Dallas's offense is ready, but they didn't really fix their lack of a pass rush on d, which could hurt them when they run into the elite qbs.  They will have competition in the division from philly .  I think dallas will fix there d-fense and win another sb soon, just not this year.

With you on the panthers, but the south will obviously be closer then last year.

I like the titans as well in the week afc south.  The bucs?  Only if newton gets hurt.   The giants?  They overpaid in free agency and didn't upgrade there o-line and have a poor running game, 8-8 at best best.

Dallas' hole would be Tony Romo....if he gets hurt again, and a ROOKIE RB starting, they could go down again like last year.  I don't believe that will happen, but there if they lose that ONE person, they will fall apart.  That can be said for many teams, but Dallas has proven it.

I agree with Lordbettington here, but we're not talking Super Bowl, we're talking Division, which is just not going to be close in the NFC East this year. 

IF Tony Romo gets hurt, Dak Prescott will come in. Not just some rookie. Prescott has a 158.3 passer rating in his two preseason games, one of which he started against the Rams' starters (Aaron Donald, Trumaine Johnson), the second one he faced the Dolphins starters (NDamakon Suh, Byron Maxwell) for a quarter and a half. 

It's silly to say the team with likely the best backup QB in  football is going to be in trouble. Would I have agreed with you before the Preseason? yes. But Dak Prescott is legit.

Running back is the easiest transition from college to pro of any position. If you ask me, I'd rather have a fresh rookie carrying the ball for my team 9 out of 10 times. Ezekiel Elliott is a high caliber player and deserved to be drafted where he was. He will be the least of their worries this year.

debating between Ezekiel Elliot, David Johnson or Lamar Miller for my fantasy RB. Can Elliot make it through a full season and handle the workload at the pro level +300 carries against bigger stronger D-linemen?

nothing to me suggests he can't. no health concerns as far as i can see with the exception of a small hamstring injury during camp. so lucky to run behind that O-line.. they made an average back like McFadden look good

In my opinion, fantasy wise, I would not take Ezekiel Elliott at his current draft position. This is because Alfred Morris, Lance Dunbar, Darren McFadden are all going to be a part of this backfield, even if one gets released, that is a lot of competition for snaps. 

I would take Lamar Miller personally. Some guys you will likely want that are not on the radar are Terrell Pryor and Tajae Sharp, two guys who you can get in the last round and hope for very high upside. Sharp is getting a ton of looks, and Pryor looks like the real deal.

As Porc said, try to get Sharpe. He will be starting in week one and is the best WR on their roster.

let's see what Ezekiel Elliot can do tonight against that Seattle D-line,. looks like he'll be getting about 12 snaps or less. 

also noticed that not all of the top 10 RB's from last year will have the same success the following season seems like about 3 of them will stay in the top 10 examples Demarco Murray, Eddie Lacy etc so i also got to keep that in mind too. 

it's all about waiver-wire and which handcuff RB will make the most of the opportunities when the starter goes down and the scheduling too. David Johnson won the fantasy league for me last year so he's my current favorite, but like i said allegiance to past success might cost me so got to keep an open mind here. Lamar Miller is a close second. Miller has shown consistency the last two seasons and seems prime for a break out year with a Texans team that may utilize him more than the Dolphins did.

also keeping an eye on Tajae Sharp, shown some good stats in preseason. thanks Porc and Suuma for the suggestions

My Who Dats are a total disaster on defense.  Just bet the opposing team's Team Total Over every game instead.
