Bills v Jets as a virtual pick ‘em?
this is messing with my brain….
please provide your insight here
Neither team is playing great. Both offenses are really struggling. Jets fired their coach and sometimes you get a "dead coach bounce" play from that team motivating them to play better. Jets are also at home on a prime-time game. Bills are off two straight losses with a scoring average of 15 points. Yet, Bills have the best player, Allen, and are more proven based on past records and finishes.
This is the third road game in a row for the Bills. A spot to fade.
It seems like money is going on the Bills and yet the line continues to drop in favor of the Jets. The total has dropped also. It is a prime-time game so the under is always something to consider.
My question is...which side is the trap? I see a very even game on paper. The winner takes over first place and becomes the favorite to win the division.
I'm leaning on teasing points towards the Jets and teasing the total up and betting the under.

I made odds in Vegas for years.
I couldn't possibly count the number of meetings we got together to do the numbers.
Not once was the word trap mentioned.
Not once was the concept of a trap ever discussed.
Because it's simply not how it's done.
I see this posted all the time and I almost never reply because people are too invested in believing what they want to believe.
I tried to explain this once, and a reply came in that started, "You're wrong. My friend in Vegas told me that..." And that's where I stopped reading.
I was literally in the room, for years, making lines, but his friend told him...
And while I've got a minute I'll debunk another myth:
Sports bettor: "I'm taking team A today."
Me: "Why?"
Sports bettor: "The sharps are on team A. The public is all over Team B."
Me: "How do you know this?"
Sports bettor: "I got it from the info the books released."
Me: "The books. Which books? You mean the books who have one sole purpose in life - taking money from sports bettors?"
Sports bettor: no reply, silence while he puzzles that one out for a minute and is suddenly overcome with a dose of common sense.
Books give out information designed to get money coming in on the team they need money on. But again, people believe what they want to believe.
Good luck on whatever you guys play today. But you have enough factors to consider when handicapping a game without adding myths into the mix. So keep an open mind. Not all books release honest information.
Some? Sure. But . . .

Good info right here. You have a lean on the game?
