Bortles recently is not turning the ball over and not costing games but he sure as hell isn't winning them either. Bortles knows he's being criticized and from closely observing his recent play, I clearly see the guy is playing afraid. Example: If it's 3rd and 10, he won't dare to pass (doesn't trust himself) to get the 1st down and is only looking to just complete the pass and get 4 or 5 yards and is happy enough to complete a pass that isn't intercepted. This is no kidding. At some point in the game Bortles will have to convert difficult 3rd and longs and make plays and this is not the form or confidence that is encouraging to see.
I think you need a good qb that can actually make throws to win in Buffalo and Bortles seems like he doesn't have it in him.
*Bills have a better coaching staff and coaching matters alot in the NFL. McDermott gets these guys ready to play every week.
*Yes, I understand this Bills team has a bad offense and there are numbers to back it up, but you have to remember Jags are one of those teams that have tendency to do funny things that goes against numbers and that funny things that you can't cap against. Such as critical penalties on both sides of the ball and very shaky qb play that can result in disaster plays/turnovers. You cannot trust Bortles numbers as well because of this, even if they appear to be positive, they are very tricky and misleading.
*Fournette is only good thing about Jags team, but Bills defense capable to hold it down and don't think they will get run over the whole game.
*Jags struggle against these sort of teams. Teams that have inept offense are forced to step up on defense and be more locked in and more physical to keep them in games. Titans, Texans, Cowboys teams they lost to are similar to Bills.

Bills may have some bad results but they are misleading. Peterman played in many of those.
Bills are not a garbage team like the Jags, they just short of weapons on offense, but McDermott can coach - very disciplined and team mirrors his character. To be able to pull off those upsets they had with very limited weapons on offense..Alot of it credit to good coaching.

What I meant to say about Bortles in the first part is that if it's 3rd and long, he doesn't trust himself to make the deep pass and try to get the first down. Instead on 3rd and 10 he will hit the checkdown or the closest receiver just to get a completion.

Buffalo would have been a better bet with QB Barkley.
QB Josh Allen has a UCL injury. The rumor is that he may miss the entire 2019 season due to Tommy John surgery. Here is Allen's reaction while being evaluated by a trainer:

amir, always appreciate your insight in your posts my guy! i was thinking bills and giants both ML in a parlay... do you agree ?
Thanks man. Yea man why not, play the spread as single bet as well and go for the parlay too....All 3 favorites cleared on Thanksgiving. Don't think books are gonna be in giving mood this weekend which means should be a good chance we see some outright upsets..

The Jaguars played their super-bowl game last week. I figure they are more than ready to go through the motions and mail it in. As always enjoyed reading your write-up Amir and best wishes for your continued success!!!

Their first game coming out of the bye vs. Indy was a "must win." They lost.
Last week at home vs. Pitt was their "last stand." They lost.
This week on the road at Buffalo is "Who gives a damn." They will lose again due to lack of interest.

Man I agree I would have loved the Bills spot this week except they are starting Josh Allen, who like Bortles plays scared and cannot make certain plays/throws. Plus he's coming off a major injury and hasnt played in weeks. Like what kind of stupid coaching would play this guy right now considering how good Barkley was last game and how garbage Allen has been all season when he was fully healthy? I simply cannot trust Allen versus that Jags defense.

Stupid McDermott. Hope he and that front office get fired. Idiots could have drafted Mahomes.
