He has no pocket presence. Once his first option is covered, hes taking a sack. Not throwing it away or scrambling away, he simply takes the sack. He cowers under pressure and does not keep his eyes up field. It's like hes afraid to take a hit or step into a throw if there's any pressure coming his way.
Jags need to work on getting some quick throws and better protection for this kid. I'm not sure if a lot of his problems can be fixed but he is definitely a HUGE work in progress.
Was waiting for the +14 from my book to take the Jags, but it stayed at 13.5 and didn't fee like buying that half a point. I'm so glad I didn't pull the trigger on the Jags from their play in the first half.

Yeah, you would think he was a rookie on a crap team the way he is playing...oh wait a second...he is!
And that he is, and it's definitely showing. His reads and his pocket presence will only get better in time, but what irks me the most is his unwillingness to take a hit as he throws. He just breaks down under pressure and tucks the ball instead of stepping up or scrambling out and throwing it away. Basically, his toughness is what I question and I dont know if that can be fixed.

With such a fantastic o-line he should be playing so much better, those 2 seconds he has before the pocket collapses every down should be enough....

Half of those sacks/turnovers could have been thrown away. Having pressure inside is normally a definite sack especially for less mobile QB's. I dont believe I've seen Gabbert throw one away this game...which sometimes, is the best possible throw you can make.
