There is wide speculation that Browns owner Jimmy Haslam paid Hue Jackson to lose games back in 2016, 2017 when the Browns went 1-31.

Now the Browns are in a mess at QB after the worst trade in NFL history and they are jockeying with teams like the Giants and Raiders in a draft where there appears to be two elite QB prospects, Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward.

It is literally the only way they can fix the QB position, as there is no one of note in free agency aside from Sam Darnold. A young franchise QB on a rookie contract is their only way considering the bloat of Watson's fully guaranteed contract. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski recently said he does not feel he is on the hot seat - sounds like he is definitely "trusting the process".

Oh and BTW the Steelers are +7.1 ppg margin and the Browns are -8.6 ppg.
