It's not the defense of the Jets you need to worry about its their offense. Or more accurately, the Pats defense. They have been lights out, 2nd in the NFL in yards allowed. Jets are last in the league in yards gained and it's not even close they are actually like 50 yards per game behind Miami. I know Darnold was out but still, they had got a bunch of turnovers first half hardly made any points off it and then blew a double digit lead in the 2nd half cuz they couldnt move the ball at all.
Don't worry about that Dallas game the Cowboys were looking ahead to Philly and werent healthy. Would love to see the Jets play them tough like they used to every so often.

I think a better question is can the jets score? Anderson has done nothing against Gilmore in 4 career games 9 catches 59 yards and no more than 25 yards in a game. He's not gonna win the one on one battles. Gilmore is even better than he was before. Jets are working with a patchwork offensive line and the Patriots are going to pressure Darnold into mistakes or sacks. Belichick has extra time to prepare. Jets still dont have a run game. Bell has averaged basically 3yds/carry in all his games sometimes less. Darnold had one good game against an ill-prepared Dallas team. Now he sees a team that knows him well. I think Darnold was 16-28 with 167 yards passing and a sack fumble returned for a td which ended in a 38-3 loss against the Pat's in week 17. Can you count on this Jets team to get you a score at the end of the game for a back door cover against the number 1 defense? We'll all be asking ourselves is Darnold really the guy all over again come Monday night.
Of course, I do trust brady on the other side. You still have Edelman and likely dorsett. Michel running the ball. I know CJ Mosley the qb of the defense is back and that should help. But is that all you can hang your hat on to get the stops you need when your offense is going 3 and out. They'll wear down and Brady will get his but will Darnold and the jets get theirs?
Take Pats -9.5 and go to sleep.

Jets will do a Bilichik .... They will stop Eddleman and force Brady to beat them some other way and he has limited weapons. I like the Jets to cover and don't be surprised if they win.

In fairness the best offense they have seen to date is the #17 ranked O (Buffalo Bills). New England has faced #28, #31, #32, #17, #29, #24 ranked offenses. They very well may have a good defense but they have been feasting on the bottom of the pile of NFL Offenses.
