Chief's player coverage......enough already

Question

I might be on the wrong side of the fence with this one...but me and some buddies had a talk about this at a poker game over the weekend....

I feel this coverage and respect this player is getting is a disgrace.

Yes, the loss of a teammate, co-worker and person is always terrible, I understand this.

However,

HE MURDERED AN INNOCENT PERSON!!! He killed HIS BABIES MOTHER

Why is this guy getting all this coverage and praise??? And nobody is talking about the fact that he MURDERED SOMEBODY

If he didnt take his own life, he would be in jail for the rest of his life.....and this guy is getting coverage like he is some kind of saint and people should feel sorry for him???

It just baffles my mind the coverage and sympathy this guy is getting??? What about the females life who was taking away??

If this guy wasnt an athlete he would be destoryed by the public for his actions.

The media likes the story that the NFL is trying to kill its employees regarding the head injury thing.  They don&#39;t care about the victims, only the end game.  The ends justify the means should be the journalistic creed.

I dont think this guy is getting praised by no means. People are trying to understand why what seemed like a very solid and genuine guy (allegedly) would kill his child&#x27;s mother and then kill himself.

I heard of this and yes, of course I had to read the article, but I have purposefully avoided all media on him. There is no understanding this type of thing. It happens across the world quite often. It sucks but there is no point putting energy into it. If the coverage has played out as you write, I agree that is pretty diseased, but the media itself is pretty much an evil entity--if it bleeds it leads, distort to entertain--so nothing they do in the negative surprises me anymore.

What about the mother of the girlfriend who saw her daughter get shot 5 times right in front of her. How messed up will she be the rest of her life? Same with the coaching staff who witnessed this dude blowing his brains out. Very selfish act on his part.
