Spotted the Eagles nonsense also. Their allowing huge chunks underneath in fear of getting beat over the top (which happened a few times) will be something to watch moving forward.
Meanwhile, Miami brought the house on LAC last drive overwhelming Herbert.

Why would Washington go for it on 4th down at the 30yd line, up by 4 with :08 seconds left? If they kick a field goal, they up by a touchdown score and kick a return inside the 30... I also noticed justin fields is trash as a 3rd yearqb
This is what everyone is saying, but no one is giving credit to the Packers secondary who had a hell of a game.
The Packers coaching was one step ahead of the Bears all game long.
The Bears o line was pedestrian at best. When they did pass block, Fields went through his progressions. 9 out of 10 times the only guy open was the dump off guy. That's what the Packers wanted. They did their job.
There are a dozen things you can point to why the Bears sucked on Sunday. Fields isn't one of them imo.
Where is everyone blaming Joe Burrow for having only 82 passing yards for a 2.6 avg today? The Bengals scored 3 fuckin points. The Bears at least scratched 20.
You might want to look at the Bears D that gave up 38 points. Only blitzed Love 2 times ALL game. The Bears rushed 4 vs 5 blockers all game long and let a guy starting his first nfl game light them up.
There are much bigger problems in Chicago than Justin Fields.
Also, if you didn't watch the game(I suspect you didn't), Eberflus fucked his team on the first drive. Going for it on 4th n 1 in his own territory. How do you risk that field position so early? The Packers scored 7 after that turnover on downs. They didn't score again in the 1H.
Once again coaching. In the 2H the Packers didn't adjust on D because the Bears ran the same shit. The Packers made some offensive adjustments and the Bears didn't.
Fields accounted for 275 of the Bears 311 yards.

This will be another season of pure coaching stupidity. Coaches that choose to go for it on fourth down in their own territory, go for it on fourth down in obvious field goal range, and refuse to punt it away with 2 min left and 3 timeouts. This is the new nfl and even the good coaches are doing it. This is the hardest thing to handicap for, and mostly because you can’t predict when these moron coaches are going to do it. Many games this season will be decided by these coaching decisions. Good luck…

The best is when the announcers shower over the top praise for the "gutsy call" to go for it on 4th down in those situations as if it is a sign of good coaching, but then never mention how bad of a decision it was when it fails. You don't get credit for just deciding to go for it on 4th time like you are some sort of visionary...it is all outcome based. It's a good call if it works, its's a bad call if it doesn't, especially in your own end or when the field position doesn't make it an obvious call. Like The Chargers coach comes to mind (also Dan Campbell who I do think is a great coach, but I think he effs his team by going for 4th down way too much as if its like a test of your manhood to go for it)....I didn't watch their game this week, but yes he goes for it a lot and makes it, but what about all the other times you decide to go for it on 4th down and it totally flips the field for the other team, kills your own momentum and leads to points. It is the equivalent of a turnover.
