Curious case of the Kansas City Chiefs

KC went 4-4 in their last 8 regular season games with losses to the Eagles, Packers, Bills and the Raiders in a home week 16 matchup in what was a must win game at the time as the 2 seed was still up for grabs.

4 wins came against Raiders with O,Connell, Easton Stick and the Chargers, Zappe and the Pats and lastly Browning and the Bengals.

Not impressive at all, the 8 game stretch to close the season.

Playoffs begin 

KC played the depleted Miami Dolphins at home in -25 degree weather for an easy win in the wild card round.

Divisional round @ Buffalo was an exciting game where the Bills dominated TOP 38 to 22 mins. Ran for almost 200 yards and somehow in Bills fashion still lost the game?

Reid Jedi mind tricked Harbaugh to somehow have Lamar Jackson throw the football 38 times with only 6 total carry’s going to the running backs for the entirety of the game.

For the life of me I will never understand what happened in that game. Yes KC won and it was impressive, however, the Raven’s OC and Harbaugh was the real MVP for KC in that win. 

KC scored 0 points in the second half, their offense was grinded to a halt by the Ravens D but for reasons only known to Harbaugh, the run game was completely abandoned. They were down 10 at home.. Peculiar indeed.

Now KC faces a 49er team who got “lucky” twice and shouldn’t be in the Super Bowl.

Maybe you should've posted this in the thread of the guy who is shocked, completely flabbergasted that the Niners opened as favorites. As if he didn't watch a single KC game prior to the playoffs. As if he didn't see guys dropping passes left and right,the defense struggling against the run, etc 

Unbiased truth: Both the Chiefs and 49ers got lucky on their way to the super bowl.

 I think the two keys to the game will be:

1) will Shanahan be aggressive and then keep the throttle open should they get a lead.

2) can Purdy find his check down against the blitz we know us coming.  He's struggled with this in the past 

Do these two things and this game isn't close.

people keep saying ravens shut them down in 2nd half but chiefs played conservatively once they had the 10 pt lead. spags is shit grinning from ear to ear seeing what pressure has done to little in past games he won't know where the blitz is coming from and is gonna get rocked. that cute running he did last game having studied mahomes won't work this game he will be confused as heck and then people will see that lamar was holding the ball because nobody was fking open

im assuming “little” is Brock Purdy. How are his stats agains the blitz this year? Is he actually that bad or are you just making stuff up?

 I like your analysis but it goes both ways . Playing devils advocate I can easily say the 9ers could’ve been bounced in the divisional against Green Bay , and obviously the nfc championship against Detroit. You need to call it what it is 

..and we must also look at the last 4 teams SF played on the"road" 2  4-13 teams that are 2 of the worse defenses in the league.. a team in Philly who cant play a lick of defense and a 9-8 team in Seattle another bottom dweller defense . If KC comes out of the gate as did GB & Det.. SF and Purdy wont be coming back

Nothing curious here , the chiefs don’t care about the reg season , I don’t think they were worried about den la or lv , the div was a wrap , they coasted

At the very least cost kansas the best play of the year that never counted!

He also lost the Detroit game and another game. 

Mahomes hit him on the hands, bounced off, Pick 6 deciding score. He dropped another one in another game that got picked, team went to score deciding TD that game as well. 

Toney went off on social media and that shit was funny. He sucks. My best friend, huge die hard chiefs fan was so happy they traded for him a couple years ago. NYG knew what was up. 

Patrick Mahomes was so angry after the tipped ball interception against the Patriots. Kadarius Toney was never seen on the field after that happened. I think that directive likely came from Mahomes himself, and who can blame him. It's gotta drive a quarterback nuts to see his pass mishandled and wind up caught by the defense. Toney was already on very thin ice when that happened. 

What excuse will the Chiefs use for benching him before the Super Bowl? Or do they even need one? They should create an "Unable to Stop Sucking" list and just quietly put his name on there.

 The one thing I was banking on the Chiefs in the post season was their focus. They have dropped three passes this post season and two were by Kelce. Mahomes has been surgical whereas Purdy has had some issues. I’m curious what kind of futures you have on SF because it seems like you are wanting them to win, but doubting they will get it done now against the Chiefs.
