Or did I miss something? Did KC get called for a 15 yard penalty on excessive celebration after the defensive TD when the play was later ruled dead on a incomplete pass from Byron?

yes, they were. the fact the officials blew the call, which wasnt known until after the review, doesnt change the fact KC committed a penalty for a group celebration BEFORE the review.

yah another bull shit rule the nfl has, this rule is for personal fouls for hitting players late not for celebrating tds, if the refs call the play right on the field no penalty 4th and 7 so pretty much the chiefs got fucked cuz the refs made the wrong call

it's a bull shit rule, there was no touchdown it was an incomplete pass so there shouldn't be a penalty for celebrating a td that wasn't really a touchdown, it's an absolute bull shit rule that will be changed

and that's why you're not a college graduate... i would hope...
hard to argue with Chuck... yea, it's the correct call according to the rulebook... but how can anyone justify such an enormous penalty, that ONLY can happen because the refs fucked up the original call?
yea... right in the letter of the law... definitely wrong in the spirit of the law...
think about it! if instant replay doesn't exist... that situation CANNOT OCCUR! either the refs get the original call right, and there is no celebration penalty... or the refs miss the call, Chiefs get a TD plus a celebration penalty...
but for the Chiefs to lose the TD, and get penalized...
come on! who gives a fuck what the rulebook says... you MUST admit that is just retarded in every way imaginable... they need to figure out a way to keep those things from happening...
it is a loophole, basically, and loopholes should be eliminated once they are discovered...
of course, it doesn't change the fact that the Chiefs are a bunch of retards... but that is another story...

Funny part, Big Ben had a throw like that last week that was ruled a fumble. Yet, this time around it was incomplete pass. Clearly in review Leftwich tried to pull back as he was already in motion.
Frankly, the penalty stand after an incomplete over a presume fumble is silly.

guarantee that rule is changed in the off season to personal fouls not touchdown celebrations, that could of cost the chiefs the game and for the chiefs to be penalized because the refs made an error can't happen

i see both sides of it, and i don't think the rule will be changed... but i do think it SHOULD be changed...
the head of officiating will always say this: it's a dead ball foul, and whatever else happened on that play does not change that fact!
and i also have VERY little sympathy for a team that is EVER stupid enough in ANY situation to commit those kinds of stupid ass penalties...
but still... you CANNOT begin to argue that is a good rule... it is fucking retarded! according to the reversal, the implication is that the play ends when the ball hits the ground... but since the idiot refs didn't get that right, somehow what NEVER happened, still happened...
it's just nonsense... but i still don't think it will change, and i still can't get too upset when i see players doing that kind of retarded shit...
maybe they should change the penalty from 15 yards... to just giving the other team 7 points on the scoreboard... so i don't have to watch these ignorant fuckers show us that they are failures as human beings (regardless of their athletic abilities)...
if i was a coach... any player who ever committed a penalty like that would get an automatic 1 game suspension and a loss of pay for that 1 game... and those penalties would NEVER come back to hurt my team EVER again...
but Crennel is a terrible coach, and therefore his players have NO discipline whatsoever...

i agree with both chuck and thorpe.....youre right chuck, if officials correctly call an incomplete pass at time of play, there is no celebration and no penalty.... BUT, they didnt ....then you have a bunch of 1-7 losers all dancing like they are the club. they KNOW a group celebration will draw a flag, but they did it anyway. they deserved the flag. yes thorpe, good rule.

The rule makes sense and it was the right call. KC was playing their heart out and they was on a GOOD ONE! They was dancing in the end zone! Hilarious!!!

hard to argue... i am old school... Marshall Faulk is one of the leading TD scorers in the history of the game... Barry Sanders, if he played as long as most players do, probably would have broken all TD scoring records...
when those guys got into the endzone... they gave the ball to the ref... THAT, to me, was the most impressive TD celebration i have ever witnessed in my life...
as Mike Ditka says... act like you've been there before...
i think the rule is utterly retarded in principle... but there is no case that can be made in favor of those who pull their dicks out because they sniffed the endzone for the first time in their lives...
so yea! fuck the idiots on the Chiefs... it is just another indication of a team that has no fucking clue of what it takes to win games in the NFL...

Chiefs are idiots but guess they don't have much to celebrate. As far as the rule goes these are grown men they know the rules and it's black and white regarding group celebration.

since we are on the topic of penalties that shouldn't of counted did anyone notice last week bears vs texans when cutler tried to run for the 1st down then decided to throw, he was hit on that play in the head.
the refs called his pass an illegal forward pass and also flagged the texans player for illegal hit to the QB head. but by rule if the QB is across the line of scrimmage isn't he considered a RB and hits to the head are allowed unless he is sliding, which he was not

Absolutely Correct. If it was an illegal hit I could understand the call but since there was no TD there should be no celebration penalty. If the refs blow it dead nobody gets to the endzone
