well as in any nfl game,which team conrols the game,,,,,,,,,

the ref,,,team,,,,and you all saw sunday,,,,,,,,49ers flat got a screwin,,,,,,,after 20 some yrs of playin nfl,this was no 1st.for me..

How did the Niners get screwed? The fumble by Kearse that was not reviewed? That didn't end up hurting the Niners as the Hawks fumbled on the Wilson-Lynch exchange. They even got 14 additional yards of field position. The running into the kicker call? The 5 yard variety of penalty is always called when there is no intent and the plant leg is the leg that is struck.

I saw two horrible calls by the refs that cost the Hawks 10 points. First, a phantom holding call on their right guard in 1Q or early 2Q that negated a 1st down pickup on a dump down to Lynch that had the Hawks in FG range. The holding call on Sherman on the 3rd and 9 when the WR is settling for a 5 yard route was a little much in a title game. After that, Kaep runs for 50 plus yards and they get a TD.

Seattle won this game without getting any breaks. SF laid the ball on the turf several times only to fortuitously recover their own blunders. An O lineman recovering the QB's fumble and advancing the ball another 8 yards? Really? Then next play, he hits the 30 yd TD to Boldin.

Did you watch the game?  Pereira and the announcers clearly explained that it should have been roughing, DUE to the fact that it was the plant leg that was hit.

Apparently, I did not hear that explanation, joshk.  My apologies.  I do not believe that changed the outcome of the game nor does it negate the other points I made.  The knee-jerk reaction is always that refs jobbed the losing team.

Yur other points r silly. Sherman completely mugged Crabtree. He was the idiot who fouled Crabtree 5 yards down the field when it was 3rd and nine. Really yur going to cling to a phantom holding call. U can basically make that claim on any interaction on the offensive line. Th refs do the best they can on such subjectivity but unless yur going to claim the refs were biased dont want to hear bout phantom holding call

Bottom line is the better team won. Each team got some breaks but the 49ers played a great game but lost cuz of kapp. Plain and simple.

all i keep hearing about is how the refs screwed san fan yesterday.
why arent any of these same people talking about how the refs got san fran into the championship game in the first place.
last weeks ref and harbaugh are very good friends off the field.

nobodys talking about that and how carolina got shafted on quite a few plays

i agree with shadow warrior im a life long die hard niner fan of 30 years and i can tell u i aint even mad about the refs these last 2 years losses were solely on KAP he turned the ball over 3 times in 2nd half this year..im just glad he had the balls to say this loss is all on him bcuz it was..he is young and not many qbs have made superbowl and nfc championship games in first 2 seasons he will be back with another 1-2 shots at the superbowl just not with this team!! #questfor6continues

Yes. SF got screwed. But I knew they would when it came down to it. You didn&#x27;t? Its called home field advantage. And with the public pounding the dog all week, fading the public was a huge factor in picking SEA.
