Do we dare trust Philly again this week as large favs??

Question

Hard to pull the trigger here but my gut is telling me that Philly will be moving the ball rather easily and scoring just the same.....thoughts??

SF doesn&#x27;t have the ability to take advantage of Philly&#x27;s porous defense. They&#x27;ll struggle to stay within striking distance of the Eagles for 4 quarters.

First, let me say, I actually like the 49ers +9. I think if you looked into SF's defense, you might not feel that Philly will move the ball easily. SF's D is 7th in yards/game allowed, 5th in Defensive Passer Rating, tied for 1st with a 2.9 YPC allowed. On the offensive side, Alex Smith is completing 68.9% of his passes and his QB rating is 91.3. But, a better passing stat is that his passing yards per attempt is only 6.8. Looks like he is throwing a lot of passes underneath which plays right into the Eagles weakness on defense. Their LB play has been subpar to date and I see the 49ers being able to move the ball on the Eagles. The Eagles are 1-2 with their only win coming against the pretty bad St Louis Rams. Until the Eagles show me they can beat a quality team, I would never back them as a 9 point favorite.

49ers have donte whitner as their safty and he sucks, philly will throw all day on that weak secondary. philly should cover the spread but im staying away

With Phillies dominant secondary they will be able to load the box against Gore.  They should be able to get good pressure on A. Smith on obvious passing downs.  I like eagles by wayyyy more than the spread here.

also felt very hesitant of taking the eagles at such a large spread but i think vick comes back and has the game of his life, just to be sure i teased them down to &#x2B;4.5
