It seem people just want them to play and ignore the fact

It has long been suspected that the National Football League and its players are using performance enhancing drugs. Steroids and human growth hormone (HGH) is tailored made for the sports as football is about power, strength and speed.

Yes, I am for HGH in football players to make them more like gladiators....OH the question was about testing???..my bad no opinion on the subject..

THE NFL has has Roid or PED problems for 35+ Years now .... nothing new

Your balls don't fall off.  I recommend everyone do research on steroids before they talk about them.  Of course they have side effects like any other drug, but are not near as bad as everyone thinks.  I love how they say all the deaths in wrestlers are mostly caused by steroids, rather than prescription pain killers which are much worse than steroids.  Prescription pain killers are the thing killing the wrestlers, its synthetic drugs which are as addictive if not more addictive than heroin.  Steroids just get the backlash.  I see no problem in steroids what so ever.

But the side effects Long term would be too much for many to deal with .... Besides Most NFL Players with lengthy careers can barely walk in their 40's

There are no known long term side effects.  You don't think the problems with NFL players not being able to walk is from the beating they take day in and day out do you?  I mean come on.  There is a very interesting documentary on steroids that I wish everyone could watch.  I agree if you abuse steroids you could have problems.  Some side effects include acne, hair loss, your testes could go up, but there is also a drug that makes them come back down.  The roid rage argument is a joke.  The documentary is called bigger, stronger, faster.  Do you think its some kind of coincidence that jails are now starting to take weight lifting away from prisoners.  They don't want to deal with bigger, stronger inmates. 

I really don't find anything really that wrong for steroids.  As steroids have never been linked to any deaths.  0 deaths caused by steroids based on scientific studies.  That documentary could show you a few things that you didn't know about them.  Steroids when used properly benefit you in way more ways than harm you.

Drugs, acholol and smoking is killing people but their only success has been keeping people from gettting big and ripped.lol

Well they also had success at keeping one of the best baseball players of all time off the field, Bonds. If your in the Media good books like Tiger then they forgive and forget...they don't even care when your canadian doctor gets nailed with HGH...

The Media is a joke that people depend on.
