With a little bit of homework, these bets are pretty easy. Much easier than the coin flip that spread best have become. I enjoyed watching last nights gane because I had the Packers over 34. Right from the get go it seemed like a good bet, and you never have to worry about getting moosed. (I only bet the overs on these bets---hate betting unders and being nervous all game)
Obvious teams that have been crushing TT overs have been Denver (With exception of this week), NE, GB, Philly (Also not this week--but I didn't touch it against Seattle) Agasin, it takes a bit of homework---as in look at what defenses they are playing, possible weather etc...
Then, if your site offers it, 2nd half team toal bets are great too, Atlanta down big last night at half, 2nd half team total was only 10.5. You kidding me?? Packers are notorious for letting foot off gas in second half when up that big....it was almost a guarantee thast Atlanta would score at least one legit TD and then get one in garbage time. They ended up doing alot more, but the basic reasoning made sense.
These bets have saved me this season---so much easier and less stress than all the moosing going on with sporead bets! Worth taking a look at and considering. There is just no way to consistently win betting the straight lines in my opinion.

Come to think of it, I would do these bets just to make watching the game a little funner, but I never seriously did these bets to make money... However, I tend to do better with these bets than my usual spreads. So perhaps I will ride along with you.

No mention of juice? -120, -130, -140... No thanks. Although I do play these first and second half occasionally, but not at those prices. It's hard to find a valuable TT being offered at anything less than -115. Those are the ones I shop for.

Yes, the juice tends to be a bit higher, but that doesnt bother me. They hit with much more frequency than straight bets so its neglible. (At least for me)

I agree with you PA a number of weeks ago I took Pitt at OU 27 pts instead of the -7 line and got a push out of it. Then the next week I took Saints O 27 again and got another push whereas a straight bet means a loss. Last nights game I just took straight over for half and game and did not touch either side but your right a 14 pt spread is very high to maintain irregardless of GB smashing everyone at home. If your taking the 14 your also figuring a blowout so much likelier GB gets to 34 then maintain a 2 TD win in a low scoring affair. Personally I got no problem with the juice at -115 when it means a surer bet to win.
