Football is a game of matchups. I am a the best handicapper in this forum. I rarely spread the gospel, but I will preach for today´s game. The Eagles are the way, the truth and the light for today. Follow em and reach the financial heavens.
1. Daniel Jones sucks under pressure, and he is facing a top D in terms of pressuring.
2. The Giants try to rely on their run game even when Freeman is a shadow of what he was with Atlanta. And they are facing arguably the best D vs the run.
3. The Giants have only one good weapon to cause damage to Phily, but Garrett (or Jones, who knows) refuses to use him (Engram).
4. The main aerial weapon from the Giants this season (Slayton), will be shadowed by Darrius Slay, who is a beast (I know half of this forum probably don´t even know who he is, since you focus solely on offensive players).
5. The line is drastically influenced by the absences of Sanders and Ertz. Ertz, has been a machine of catching 1 yard passes for no gains after the catch. Nothing that Richard Rodgers cannot do. And Sanders may be missed, but Boston Scott ain´t no slouch. He fucked up this Giants D last season with a monster showing. Also, Phily recovers Lane Johnson who is crucial to this offense (again, most of you probably don´t have an idea about who he is, so please google him and also look at his Madden ratings - which is the easiest way for uneducated bettors to realize the value of a player).
6. Phily gets D-Jax back. This is key, since it may free up Fulgham from Bradberry´s shadow coverage. If Bradberry shadows him, then we will have a big game from D Jax.
7. Ward has been an unspoken factor to this team´s success. He is facing one of the worst defenses covering the slot. I´m expecting him to shine.
Bottom line: I think both teams will struggle to move the chains, since both defenses are good against the run. However, I am expecting turnovers from the Giants, and Phily´s offense on paper looks awfully worse than last week, but it actually is practically the same. The line for this game should be -7. Take the value.
