Fisher said the controversy is not a distraction to his team.
"They're
focused, they're ready, and they understand the challenge," he said.
"It's not a distraction. This is the most I've talked about it all day
long. I've been working all day."
"It doesn't affect us," Rams safety T.J. McDonald
added. "All the outside noise, from this locker room, we're not hearing
what anybody else is saying. We know what we have to work on, and
that's what we're focused on."
Fisher said he "opened everything
to Eric" during that fateful conversation because "I wanted him to know
that we would provide anything for him that he needed." According to
Dickerson, though, Fisher told him he cannot be on the sidelines because
his criticism of the team made players "uncomfortable," and then when
Dickerson defended his right to speak out, Fisher backtracked and told
him he wants him around.
I think the Rams only have themselves to blame for the losses. If Goff pans out it'll really open up their game and defences won't be stacking up the boxes giving Gurley more space and maybe return to the dominance he showcased last year. Thats a long term outlook but clearly Keenum wasn't the answer.
While football may be an X's and O's game, I really believe the emotional factor plays a big part in outcomes. As I'm sure you do.... Choosing a team solely based on stats isn't enough sometimes. When there's turmoil happening around a team like a death, investigation or whatever distraction it can really influence a game. Teams can rally behind it or succumb to it.... Which is it is the question! In the case of Dickerson and the Rams, I don't think its that big of a distraction.

“As long as you’re head coach, you don’t ever have to worry about ever
seeing me at a Rams game again,” Dickerson said he told Fisher,
“I want to go to a football game about as much as I want to tie a
bloody steak around my neck and jump into the Pacific Ocean buck naked,”
Anyone else see how this one is going to change the psychology of the Rams so significantly, it's the only important aspect about betting this game?
As it sits, the line is 13.5 and 44.
Eric Dickerson retired from football in 1993 you ridiculous buffoon!! This so called feud has no baring on this matchup whatsoever so stop making useless threads football77.

How many guys out of everyone that has ever been in the NFL made it on "A Football Life"?
Many of these guys have already passed away, and some are still living. Eric Dickerson is going to have to do a part 2 to his football life and discuss his comments regarding this issue.
You have to see this for what it's truly worth. If the Rams win this game, then they might be able to conclude that Eric Dickerson was the reason for their losses. If the Rams lose bad, Eric Dickerson can say "I told you so". Like it or not, this entire thing is in the heads and hearts of some of the most important people at the Los Angeles Rams Organization.
If this story wasn't a big deal, it wouldn't have made it on National News Coverage.

Also remember, Eric Dickerson is calling for Jeff Fisher's head, but has not stated what he is doing wrong as a coach besides pointing to the win/loss or stating who he would get in his stead. I'd personally like to know what Eric feels Jeff is doing wrong in the same way one can say "Peyton Manning doesn't have the arm strength he once had." So you can then go get a quarterback with that arm strength. Otherwise, just ask the Browns if it can get worse. How many coaches and starting QB's did that team go through recently? Do the Rams want something like that while being situated so close to all the celebrities in Hollywood?

If you ask the players about this less than half would even know what you are talking about
Half the players don't move a line spread even a half a point. It's about the few key players that know exactly what I'm talking about. Head Coaches, Owners...
Hopefully if you bet this game without taking this variable into consideration you get lucky enough to be on the right side.

that dolphins loss did it for them. they may hang for a quarter or so but brady will break their backs with a long, 15 play, 90 yard drive or something and then they will pack it in

rams have already quit on the season IMO

Thankyou DoctorSuccess for reminding me of this thread.
This is a trend we can follow regarding the Rams for a long time because it's like a black hole sucking in all the energy of the team, like a gaping wound that needs to be healed.
It's next victim was Jeff Fisher, who was fired today. I believe this is another wrong move that's going to hurt this team. They now no longer have the opportunity to have Fisher and Dickerson; which would have been the ideal path to make things right.
Everything negative can be turned into a positive; but will the Rams turn this one good?
