Here is my opinion... I haven't missed a Giants game in overy 20 years, so I like to think I know my team. But I'm also a little bit of a pecimist due to the fact i want us to win so bad, which can really screw with my head.
So if you're betting this game is just want to point some things out and take it for what it's worth.
1. Our offense is subpar to say the least. Stats will back that up if you look at ppg average last 5 weeks. Defense has saved us.
2. Eli is regressing. He is not playing well at all. He is turning it over and missing wide open receivers.
3. Although I love this defense Apple is a rookie and trust me, he will be exposed tomorrow.
4. This great defense has very little playoff experience going into GB that could possibly have an effect. Janoris jenkins, Eli Apple, Landon Collins no playoff experience. Except for DRC which I believe is better than Apple (right now) is the only experience we have in Defensive backfield.
5. Rodgers can move in the pocket unlike many QB's we have faced. No, Dak Prescott was not a threat because his own admission he didn't play his game, he said he was tight and tried to hard. So with the ability of AR to extend the play...I'm concerned.
Bright spots...Perkins will be successful running, yes, no experience, but he is our best RB and I believe McAdoo is going to set him free. So our running game won't be as pathetic as it has been all year. I'm not saying he's a super star, but a definite upgrade over Jennings.
OK so there it is. I capped this at -6 last week. Lune opened at -3.5 and look and behold it has hit 6. (I'm still seeing 5-6 some places)
I will say I believe it's public money on GB but I could be wrong. Either way I don't pay a lot of attention to that. If the public never wins gambling would be very easy.
OK so all this and the pick is up to you. I don't want to bet this game because I would take Gb-4 (when I had the opportunity) but I don't want to root for my team while at the same time betting against them.
Also it is possible it could be close. Anything over 3 scares me. I would take GB at -3 if that would have presented itself. I may consider a teaser or parlay linking pack with Seattle or Pittsburgh . I never play teasers or parlays but the way I look at it if you are extremely confident in Seattle or Pittsburgh why not play one of those ML (or teaser) paired with GB (if you agree with me and like GB). Now you have GB not having to cover, just win
Whatever you do I hope this helped or at least encouraged good conversation to help.
GL to all!

Nice write up tonyrome....I have been a giant fan since the eighties and like yourself I can't bet on them. Having said that it's all on Eli. I know this guy better than any athlete in sports...he has digressed since the last superbowl but if he shows up to play and that is all it is him showing up to catch lightening in a bottle one more time....the G-men have all the ingredients of winning it all...he is not the greatest qb but he is a gamer and that is all he has to be with this squad....

I don't want to nitpick but he was horrible against at Philly and at home vs Dallas.. Even a few years ago he was still one of QBs that get sacked the fewest and has been for a while.. you can blame OL all you want but his decision making was so much better to get rid of ball and being elusive in the pocket.. you don't see much of that now..
Can't believe Brady is still that good gotta give this 39 year old props..

You are 100% correct, I actually almost added this comment...
"The only thing that could make everything I said void is if Eli decides to transform into his former self."
I was sure we would lose against the Redskins, partially because I thought we would pull starters BUT I also thought Eli would have to play great to win. He didn't and we won. Why? The defense.
But we aren't playing against Cousins tomorrow.
Eli must have a great game in order for us to win. No turnovers no more missing wide open receivers in game changing moments.
He alone is the X-Factor.
You could say the same for Rodgers due to GB's depleted defense...I would agree, but I also believe you can count on Rodgers playing his best game as his momentum has been building.
Unfortunately Eli is going the opposite way...so PLAYOFF ELI, if you are still there, please make an appearance!
We have AVERAGED 15.8 points in the last 5 games!
(For what it is worth, 14.6 if you don't count the backward lateral last week in the last play of the game that we picked up and walked in).

I don't trust this guy being a giant fan with a name like tonyrome
I don't trust me either. So many people on NY, but unless Manning plays lights out...cave see it. Cover, yes possible. Win, no. But I know I'm subconsciously bias because I really want to win, and always afraid of this team letting me down...that said...EVERYTHING in my writeup is fact and not opinion, so do with it as you will. As a Giants fan, I agree with everything posted, except I don't think Eli needs to be great in order to win, but he needs to be better than he has been.
Something that seems to be lost in the shuffle is the GB defense, specifically the secondary. They rank 31st on pass defense (32nd in yards/attempt) and they are missing a few starters.
If Eli can get the ball in the hands of OBJ and Sheppard on short routes, they can do the rest with their legs.
The NY O-Line needs to play GREAT to make the above happen.
I am not saying that means the Giants will win, but just adding to the discussion.
