Offensive coordinator and part-time 2023 interim Sherrone Moore is the favorite to replace Jim Harbaugh at Michigan. Other names: Lance Leipold, Chris Klieman and Dave Clawson. Matt Rhule and Luke Fickell have been considered amid past Harbaugh flirtations with the NFL

As a former San Diego Chargers fan, I think Harbaugh would have been better served in Atlanta as NFC is much weaker than the AFC. Dean Spanos is one of the worst, cheapest, dumbest owners in all of sports and team currently has quite a few bad contracts. Ekeler is going to be gone, Keenan Allen is past his prime, Bosa has been a huge disappointment and overpaid as the inferior Bosa and QJ was taken over Jordan Addison and Zay Flowers....lot of holes. Harbaugh is a damn fine coach but this is puzzling. Plus Chargers don't have any home field advantage, basically playing 17 road games per year.

Andy Reid going to retire and Mahomes half way through his career and Denver and Vegas SUCK -- Take him 3-4 years to build that team up to a Super Bowl victory -- Nice move Jim. You are great

While I agree the NFC has fewer QB superstars, who exactly are you building this team around in ATL. They suck.
Chargers already has a solid nucleus ( Herbert, Ekeler, Allen, Williams, Bosa, Mack) but needs a serious attitude adjustment. Harbaugh is that perfect fit.

@Rush51
Sorry Rush but that's just not the case no offense. Ekeler is a free agent and I highly doubt he comes back. Allen is very long in tooth and is older and could be a cap casualty. Mack is due 38 million next year so he's probably a cap casualty. Mike Williams got way overpaid considering how often he's hurt and Bosa has underperformed, especially in big moments. James should be a stud but I think Staley used him incorrectly. AFC is so loaded I'd rather try Atlanta who has definitely improved and has a young fantastic trio on offense in Bijan, Pitts and London, but yes they need a QB badly. Anyway it's good to have Harbaugh back in the pros. And also Chargers have ZERO home field advantage, which is another reason I don't understand Harbaugh decision. Best coach they've had since Marty.

its all about the qb. Herbert has humongous potential. He has been disappointing so far, but the talent is there. Harbaugh gets the most out of his qbs, and will have Herbert become a superstar. He had Alex smith and Colin kaepernick looking like all pros, looking forward to see what he helps Herbert become.

I always thought Jim Harbaugh did a brilliant job with the 49ers. I was shocked when he left. As a QB he was a gritty, tough competitor. He will make the Chargers a winner IMO.

Next season put some down on Jim Harbaugh coach of the year. He'll turn that 5 win team into a 10 win team. Maybe they overperform a little and win the AFC West then choke in the playoffs first year like with Niners lol

Let's see who they bring in as GM to work with Jim before we go crowning them future Super Bowl champs.... I'm sure he's done his homework so he doesn't end up with another Baalke power grab situation like what happened in SF.
