not sure if this is allowed here but figured I’d ask some fellow degens.
as is stands I have futures with free bets that pay out:
Buffalo: 10.4k
Philly 9k
im extremely biased as an eagles homer and a Mahomes hater and I wanna try and get out of my own head with that. How would you guys go about hedging this? I’m thinking about putting 2,800 on KC and 700 on Washington making it
Buff: 6,900
philly: 5,500
KC: 5,600
Wash: 3,250
any other tips or ideas how to maximize this/ not do something stupid because of what I’m rooting for?

Hey man, I use a ton of books, along with the wife and whatever book offers any sort of promotion in which a free bet is returned if the bet loses I opt in and do them all. I try and break even week to week and just launch the free bets into the future on all sports to make them more fun. Pretty torn on the way to attack this though!

Spunds like you already know how to hedge but would add some on washington as they legit have a chance,,, and should profit a little if they do win, looks like would be a small loss with your current numbers

Yeah just kicking myself in the dick for not pulling the trigger when I could still get the Chiefs at +240. You are correct. Every other avenue I’ve considered like Chiefs over Eagles at +370, parlaying Skins and Chiefs ML this weekend .. everything opens me up to blowing it. Gonna rip the bandaid off now. Thanks

The only thing that makes sense to me would be whatever you're comfortable at with Washington on the ML. +230 at my PA book, so I'm sure you could do better.
The Bills / KC is a pick em and you're Zero dollars in.
Finally, its ok to have a rooting interest this late in the season. The games are super close and the book lines are very sharp. These are very tough games to cap (contrary to what most will say here) and if you cover yourself with plus money on 3 of 4 teams and not be conflicted during thats a win. IMHO.

let it ride out. hope for one of those teams to give you the chance and then if you want to hedge then you should hedge. personally i wouldnt hedge. whats the point to even betting if you are going to reduce the possible winnings

I see this argument… but I’ve been an eagles season ticket holder for three decades and I despise Mahomes with every fiber of my being…. If the Eagles and Bills win, I’ll lose zero seconds sleep over lowering my ceiling a bit… was just wondering if there was a smarter way to do it I hadn’t thought of.
i will lose many nights of sleep however if not only do my birds lose, not only do I have to watch Mahomes win again… add in leaving over a month of pay on the table - yeah I’ll be beside myself
