This is the classic "mistakes were made" post. I usually ignore these hedging posts, but your ticket struck me unusually. Why would you tie in a season long bet on Purdue basketball with games that were ending last weekend?
You wouldn't be in the problem you were in if you just left Purdue off, collected your money, and then you can decide whatever you wanted to put on Purdue.
I know you were looking for advice in your current situation, but I have no help.

when the tourney begins you can bet against purdue each game guarranting a profit if they lose. Or at some point in the tourney you can put money on other teams as a hedge.
Also if you like playing these parlays and have other teams that you think could win the tourney put said team at end of parlay. You have a few months, if you hit any then you will have multiple teams that could generate a big win.
If you didn't you should always play the parlay with games from that week, then play a smaller one with the future in it. That way if you get all the early games right you already won something and have a pending investment in the final bet. I've done this myself many times, most recently with mlb hr props parlayed with det lions nfc north futures. Was able to get a good payout, as high as 125-1 after lions won the north as I didn't want to tie up a big bet on a season long +150 future all the small bets on parlays added up to a nice win without having to lay out a ton of cash.

That’s exactly what I did. I took a portion of each week’s profits and made some crazy high odds parlays. Those are now down to the last play. Van is correct in what he said about not doing this but I made my money and wanted to take some long shots. We will see how it plays out.
